How effective would it be? Or, more specifically, how would the damage compare to a +15 (with good stats)? I'm wondering if it worth it to make a Faith or Int Mura build.

Re: Int or Faith Mura
Well, all the scaling paths do viable damage, but the most powerful scaling path is Enchanted. With minimum reqs and 50 Int it has an AR of 628, which is pretty good, and it outstrips the faith scaling ones by more than 30 AR. However, these paths don't stop scaling at 50. if you get Int up to 99, every point past 50 is another point of AR. With just 50 Int though, you shouldn't get better than a +15.

The biggest problem is the split damage. The total AR can be misleading.

I know about split damage, but 628 in split damage is still a very useful weapon. Would a chaos Mura get close to that? It only has 588 AR. So it'll never be as useful as a +15 with 40 dex, but it's still a viable weapon that outdamages eles by a good amount.

Re: Int or Faith Mura
If you just want to use a Murakumo, go +15. If you want to use sorceries, Enchanted +5, if you want to use miracles, Divine +10. Going 28/13 and having 50 faith or intelligence is a much larger stat sink than just going 28/40. Even if the damage is marginally better (and I don't think it will be) it isn't worth an extra 10+ stat points if you're not also going to get spells.

From what I hear it shouldn't matter for you.

Saturday, reim is probably one of the most proficient mura users I have come across. I don't think he's asking which will be better having never used the weapon before, I'm fairly certain he's asking whether using the Mura will be worth it for a build other than a Quality build.

You're right (not about the Skill part, but my intent). I figured a int/faith mura was probably a waste of stats, especially for a few spells (which I don't normally use). It might be nice, though to have a few heal miracles and WoG for the Arena.

Re: Int or Faith Mura
like ghadis said, in terms of ar enchanted is better than occult, what you have to really think about is which one do you prefer, miracles or sorceries. i would go with int since you can cast pursuers then do a running attack which will catch them on their roll. my occult garg hal has 576 ar 2h and does around 300 per hit, so if the mura has 630 ar 2h it will still hit hard.
