    So I was wondering . . . .
The Directors of Dark Souls should make the weapon fighting like demon souls because its more fast pace action if you have ever played it.
    How bout it? Should they?

Did we play the same game? I felt Demon's Souls and Dark Souls play the same gameplay wise. I don't want Dark Souls 2 to be more action pace, I'd rather like it to be more strategic.

Yes, maybe that'd make PvP less of a roll fest.

Rolling is great. Its was a key component of DeS back in tge day and still is in DKS. I will have rolls in DKS II ! I WILL NOT BE DENIED!

I really like the fluidity of the attacks in Demon's. It just has a more pleasant feel than attacks in Dark Souls.
Aside from the fluidity, I think Dark was an improvement in almost every way.

Didn't play Demons Souls, but I always thought that if DKS speed was increased just a hair I might like it a little more.

Fluidity? I feel the attack animations in DeS are crazy!!! Very slow Dex weapon attacks, very fast Str weapons attacks! The rolling R1 of the greataxes/clubs is faster than in DkS. The roll atacks of many weapons are a useless upward slash. Rapiers have very slow running attacks. Kats and swords can infinite pushlock to death. I feel DkS is more fluid, slower and strategic. Only thing I really loved about DeS was hyper armor for Str weapons.

i agree with Acarnatia, chaining a combo together seemed more satisfying in Demon's than it does in Dark. the weapons in Dark do feel allot heavier and the dex weapons seem speedier, which is not a bad bad thing at all. over all combat is definitely better in Dark, but i do miss the R1-R2 combos of allot of the weapons from Demon's.

yeah, poise is definitely one of the better improvements in Dark. but in Demon's tapping R1 followed by a quick tap on R2 was more fluid, when looking at the character's animation. in Dark your character seems to have to reset his stance between attacks if you tap R1 then R2, it's not nearly as satisfying to watch.

I think the slower movement in dark was better, that was one of the good changes for more realism I guess, along with poise.

You don't ru. Perfectly fluid, or at the speed of a Olympic runner with armour on. Stay how it is, maybe a slight speed increase for weapon swing speed and fluidity of dex combos, but general movement of player should remain the same.

Demon's Souls is more fast paced than Dark Souls? Yeah... not really. It feels to me like they are the same.

I didn't say anything about the speed; just the fluidity. And SOME of the weapons will definitely be improved/balanced by altering speeds slightly.

When I first played dark souls I thought that having played demon's souls would give an edge, it didn't. the combat is much more strategy-based as demon's souls was faster with A) pretty much unlimited magic and B) Pretty fast weapons. Dark souls had extra things to worry about like poise which let you just power through hits, demon's souls did not have that, so subsequently, most weapons had to be fast to avoid stunlock.
