I've seen almost everything

1000's of hours, (don't tell my wife), and I have seen, and done, virtually everything.

Dozens of builds. PvE build, PvP builds, CoOp builds. I've had Darkwraiths drop slab after slab. I've had red slabs drop, white. Hit the top 20 in the Book of the Guilty. I've seen vagrants in my world, and in other worlds. On and on and on.

....but there is one glaring exception.

I have never been Gravelorded. I have never seen a Black Phantom in my world.

I have invaded infected worlds, but never had them in my own. It has reached the point of being notably strange.

are on ng+ from what ive read pb's only appear when youre on ng+ and rarely on regular ng. its kinda screwed up the way it works but i have seen them on ng+ most of the times ive been gravelorded.

I've seen gravelord phantoms in my world on NG. I actually get gravelord infected pretty often, maybe twice per playthrough? Might be just your luck.

They appear on a normal NG, I've been Gravelorded quite a few times at low levels.

I think it's just that the GL covenant is broken, or just that there aren't enough of them.

Don't know why that would be the case they seem to be a pretty popular covenant, probably only less popular than the DW and DM covenants.

Lex is waaay into the +'s.

You should consider joining the gravelord covenant, Lex. Get one of those guys to curse your world and follow you around to the different areas. The guys here really know how to do it. When they mass-infected the Burg it got me a bunch of times in 1 night, and that's after thousands of hours of nut'n.

Funner when it's a surprise though. I'll never forget stepping off the elevator up to the Parish and being welcomed by a giant red Knight. About 1,900 hp worth of welcome.

gravelords are pupular in the wikis or for people that like hosting and want something really fun which is very few people, imn psn and ive gotten bp's in a lot of spots, the more popular ones are sen's, anor, painted world and the archives.

I think I remember hearing some developer notes, or something like that, say that it's mroe common to get Gravelorded in NG+. So just wait in one of the common pvp hotspots and it should happen eventually.

I'll shortly be beginning my Knight Lautrec build with the specific intention of having him as a Gravelord, as I get the impression that there ain't that many of them about, which could help explain why DP's are seemingly few and far between. :evil:

When I got invaded by one in the Catacombs, it was no trouble, in fact quite easy, since the majority of invaders are actually low levels and, as rare as they are, I take it as an opportunity for easy souls.

Well, Miyazaki has said it only works on NG+ and beyond and I know for sure that it works like that on PC: I have been gravelorded many times on NG but only the sign appears, no phantoms.

I've only been gravelorded a few times, and most of them were in the Parish--well after I'd killed the Gargs, too.

I'm not sure if this has ever been disproved or not, but I believe the system is supposed to connect you more readily with people of your own covenant. I'm always Darkwraith and I've been gravelorded a few times, so it isn't necessary, but if you want to increase your odds, joining the Gravelords yourself might help.

Also, yeah, that BP Berenike Knight in the Parish is a bundle of joy! lol, misstime your dodge by a fraction of a second, and it's insta-death, every time.

I have over 4500 hours and I've yet to see a Vagrant. I believe one was in my world once, but a phantom I summoned killed him, I think it was a Vagrant because it I recieved souls, then in the corner of the map, there was a yellow orb like the ones of dropped items from mobs, and it contained Twin Humanities. Damn Phantom. Besides that, I'm like you though, I've seen and did everything (including being Gravelorded/Black Phantoms).

Well, there is one thing I haven't done yet (besides finding a Vagrant), a PvP bow build, I guess I will make it in the next following days .

I am positive I saw the extra black phantom huge knight near the firekeeper soul in the Undead Parish on NG.

I have had several characters go into NG3, (and my original toon has got to be into NG10 at least).

...like I said, no black phantoms.

Have only had one guy that was a grave lord though, and that was ages ago, so maybe I need to try that out.

I love being Gravelorded. I enjoy the extra challenge.
But it happens rarely and then someone usually kills the poor Gravelord.

That feeling, when you're infected, invaded and use Undead Raport on BP enemies.

Especially that Township Caster is a b*tch to deal with when you don't expect it, as his spell does nearly 1500 on hit.

Every time i got gravelorded, and noticed, was on NG+. But sometimes i get infected and dont even realize.

I like when it happens now, but at the beginning was a real pain.

Aah I feel right at home here with the word gravelord mentioned in every reply :pirat:
