What did I get myself into?

It's been a while. A broken system, no DLC and some health issues later I've come back to poke fun at Glute's unending love of the Chaos blade, lose more than I win against Billy, and argue with Wyrm Over SKS or Gscythe.

But it seems I missed a whole helluva lot. My first inclination was to go punch the DLC get new goodies and finish http://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/?c=315799323412780072

A build I had planned after PC release before the DLC was out on my home system. And it's been working okay, I'm not sure I need both Blackflame and Combustion and I buff not all the time (can't buff SKS but I sure can buff the BSS I keep around) I've been impressed with Bead so far, and disappointed in the lack of mid-fat rolling I've seen (I guess it was too much to hope for)

I've been seeing a number of pure casters, which is neat they were a real rarity before. I've also been seeing more miracles than ever, lots of unlocked emit forces, really cool stuff.

I guess what I'm asking is what on earth happened I have catching up to do

Uh, yeah. Casters? Not so rare anymore. They often come in 3's, if you catch my meaning.

Me too, platinum'd the game w/ an Int build. 3rd build was an Int/Fth/Pyro pure caster and I used those two for PvP almost exclusively and ran across a total of 6 other casters in hundreds of hours of play.

Now I'm a 'try hard'... lol.

I've been buffing with OIC 15 int for about as long as moses wandered the dessert, now that there's a usable pvp sorcery at just 16 int, well now I'm just too min/max.

The worst part is that if you have high Faith and you just invest in INT to 16, you can do massive amounts of damage with the Tin Darkmoon Catalyst.
