hi DS forum. i was wondering; is it worth buying the dark souls strategy guide, or would that spoil a game like dark souls?

Also, if you ask specific questions and ask that we do not spoil story line, we can do so! Where are you right now specifically? Because if your right near the beginning we can tell you the only real important thing the guide would've mentioned.

i'm in anor londo and i have had help from the forum in places, but usually the answer to the problem is to keep playing and let the problem resolve itself. a guide could be useful on a second playthrough just to do the things u missed on the first.

Re: dark souls guide
I purchased the guide a week after the game came out. I was not part of any forum and I only looked at it to make sure I did not miss any items in each area and snuggly items. The wiki is much better now so if you get the guide is pretty much a collectors item and quick reference in case you are not by a computer. They did update the info post patch but I have not confirmed that.

Re: dark souls guide
I own the guide.
I find using the guide book very fun. You get to hold all that information and don't require internet connection. It is very good for quick comparing armor sets, which I find the wiki a bit clumsy at compared to the book.
Basically the book's information doesn't update as the wiki's. It costs you also but as said earlier, a great collector's item.
