For those who wanna talk ARMOR and EQUIPMENT

Who wants to see what kind of Armor types. Be it Heavy, Light, Average. Some new armor slots like a Cape/ Cloak slot maybe use it as an additional ring slot and have different effects Lets not talk stats aside from just that they need to have certain effects, advantages and disadvantages.

I want A shiny reflective armor set that could be easily hide the player if standing in the right spot.

How about you guys

Yeah if not the set at least a revamped upgraded Fluted armor set would be great

gauntles that just have obnoxious elbow talons lol and a chest piece with pointed back shoulder pads to match

you know how you could wear the metal boars head as a helmet, I'd like to see jokingly s lot of boss "heads" for **** and giggles kind of like borderlands 2 does

they need to make an additional slot for mask-style bonuses.
I hated wearing masks, but it bugged me that I felt underpowered in PVP when everyone else was wearing.
Like, the head/torso/hands/legs should be more for looks and general light/med/heavy weights.
Stats shouldnt vary so much, because some armors were useless when you could wear something of the same weight that has more poise an defense... but might look less good
I don't like having to choose between looking good and having the stats I want.
being able to customize color could also fix that problem.
But either a Cape/cloak slot, or a necklace slot for medium strength boosts (ike the masks) and the two rings for the big boosts

I want to see capes that use the symbols of the races for our characters to wear. But for armor, bring in elemental(?) types that have better defense over certain things, and have the style change from upgrading it.

A bonus for wearing the full armor set, rather than mixing and matching.

I'd like a bonus for a full set. and maybe more significant resistances against elements and magic so heavy armor with a butt ton of defense would still be weak against magic

So many good ideas, but even at the risk of a downvote (i say mockingly) i don't think most fit the game. Armor does need to be harder to obtain though, to a degree. Some sets should be scattered, find a piece here another there.

Elemental armor...not so much. Elemental upgrades are tricky, and can lead to issue. Unless its done very well. Like, fire resistance would have to sacrifice ALOT of physical defense and every other element. But i don't think that upgrade idea fits the souls well, if a armor is resistant so be it. But i want it to work because...

I hate choosing style over function. In both games, i choose style. And i died alot for it. But, so be it.the full set bonus...ify there, its good. But shouldn't be to much of a bonus, just a slight one.

Souls shouldn't be very outrageous. I don't want to see it have ridiculous armor options, the boars head was unique, but honestly a bit absurd. Gargoyles helm was a bit more tactful. How it should be.

Armor style is part of the way we find to be unique in the game. Though I agree with you about function passivefamiliar, the armor doesn't make the undead, the undead make the armor if you know what I mean. Perhaps there may be a way to blend the two without being better than the other.

And about scattering armor sets...I'm a little hesitate about how they should do that. Some games I've played did that by randomizing the armor sets and that was an issue to me. Maybe if that was limited to boss armor it would be good.

I want gloom back(and every other Demon's set) but mostly gloom

I also want Garl's armour set or something like it back to take the place of the paladin set.

Would love to see some norse armour, but it would have to be authentic looking in my opinion. So they should leave the horns, since norse combat helmets would not have horns. I think it would fit nicely in the souls universe. Heck they already got ninja armour, so why not norse?

Actually, that's incorrect; Norse helmets did NOT have horns and that's only pop culture. Horns present something easy to grab onto (which is part of why soldier's hair is cut short-so it can't be grabbed) and there is, no actual evidence that Norse helms had horns, and evidence to show that occasional use otherwise was rare and impractical.

Yeah i meant "leave" the horne as in "not add them"
I meant that norse helmets didn't have horns so they should not add them, but instead go for an authentic look. I probably phrased it a little weird.

Acarnatia: it isn't a norse game but the souls games freely borrow sfrom many cultures. Sif is a norse name last time I checked(though female -_-), and the great hollow is clearly based on the world tree.

I also don't know what you meant by technological level, care to explain?

Though I could personally care less if the next game did feature more viking themed gear.

Ahh yes thank you for that, I've been using that incorrectly for some time now (thankfully my friends are all morons)

And yes it would be absolete, therefore the stats should reflect that. there are people who choose looks over usefulness anyway.
