Do you think it would be good if they added different dragon types?

now that i think about it, for dark souls 2, i would like to see more dragon types for the dragon covenant, like a lightning path, a Fire path, a Magic path, A water/ice path, and a holy path for peete's sake, and a chaos, that would be SOOOOO COOOL, instead of the boring brown dragon that just spits fire, it's fun but needs more diversity. and dragon armor, special armor that can only be worn if you are a dragon, 3 types of it, light, medium, and heavy.
    examples:

Lighning dragon is Yellow and instead of fire, it breaths lightning like the dragons at drake valley where you get the red tearstone ring.
Fire, would be the normal dragon, spit fire blablabla.
Magic would make you blue and crystallized like Seathe, and instead of fire breath, you have the White Dragon Breath.
Water would make you able to swim, like areas you can only get to if you are a water/ice dragon. (and things like that, areas that you can only get to if you have certain covenant tools/upgrades, that would make covys more interesting.) and you can go underwater and fight special enemies and you can shoot ice or water out of your mouth and can be more resistant to flames but weaker to lightning.
Chaos dragon could be black with red eyes and a red mouth, being this could boost your pyromancy or make you more resistant to fire weapons, and weaker to water/ice weapons(if they add those, which I think would be cool). and your fire is bigger and looks more menacing and more red, and does more damage than any other dragon fire, but can also damage your phantom's and it drains a little bit of your hp.
A holy dragon could be all white and boosts your miracles and its breathe could actually HEAL allys!
note: when I say the dragons look different, they are different colors and stuff, but their physique are also different, like the water/ice dragon would have fin's instead of wings, and the magic dragon would be skinnier and not as bulky since it is a mage dragon(and with crystals on it's body in the magic dragon+1 path), the lighning dragon could have lightning surging through it's body for an added effect, and the chaos dragon could have small flames constantly coming out of its eyes/mouth. And every dragon type has wings that let you fly for 5-15 seconds depending on how high your rank is in the covenant.

They already have different dragon types in the game.

Seeing different skins though?... The stone dragon gave stones that allowed others to be like her (I am guessing it is a her, since it is a firekeeper). I would say that there would have to be a new... premise, to become a dragon other than stones. I don't see that as something for the other dragons we have seen...

But I am all up for new, cool additions. Dragons included. Likely?...

Do you think that the covenants that we saw before will return?

What I mean by different dragon types, is the dragons that your player can be, you have different dragon torso stones that you can choose from.

I know. i say something else, other than Dragon Stones to be a Dragon. Seriously. The Stone Dragon gave magic stones to become one... the other dragons were not very... stony. Seath and Gaping showed that, and Kalameet was not near close in the same as the Stone Dragon... nor Everlasting. I say, different ways to have different forms of dragon body that are not so... stony.

    Do you understand?

I get it now, the stone dragon gave dragon torso STONES so that we could be little STONE dragons, so if there were other dragon torso items that were elemental, the stone dragon would not be the one to give them out? am i correct?

To be honest, i would be satisfied just from having the dragon cov in DkS2. I don't need any magic/fire/lightning/etc dragons.
But it would be nice if they gave more/different "transformations".

I really want a dragonoid NPC though.

What about, there are different dragons in the dragon covenant that you can choose to go to, and that is the path that you take, they are all in different areas depending on their element, but they are all part of the same covenant.

that would be really cool, and maybe you could co-op with him like you do with Solaire, but I guess what I am really getting too is the different transformations, but I honestly would like some different elemental dragons, I think it would spice up the game and attract more players since the dragon covy isn't that popular anyway. Though if they do make different elemental dragons, just don't make them corny TT_TT

I think the main reason to why dragons aren't popular is that they're not very "good".
Most of this forum PvPs, and the dragon body has no poise and no defense. So they don't want to use it.

I don't want them to make it OP though, i'm okay with it being a bit sub-par.

But you have the roar that breaks gaurd and staggers the enemy (but that is only good if you have enough stamina to attack afterwards). they are kind of hidden on the other side of blighttown down the great hollow, and from my experience, no one wants to go through the trouble of going all the way through the huge swamp.

As much as i like the dragon body, i can't say that it's better than having armor. You take as much damage from a rapier as a giants guy takes from a great sword, and you have no poise.
The roar is useful, but it does not make up for what you lose.

while that is true, i bet people who actually are dragons are doing it for the looks, not the stats. I do it for the looks, and so I can go invade them completely naked and still kill them because of my claws lol.

Aside from Seath and the lightning-spitting drakes, the dragons in dark souls seem to be based of traditional folklore more than modern junk fantasy. In old tales, dragons were not imbued or 'focused' on one element; they were the primordial essence of the world given living shape, living chaos. Aside from a few being associated with rain, the only 'powers' dragons usually could have were fire and poison-and Souls has been pretty good at keeping them dragons instead of pokemon.
That being said, I think it may be really cool to have two or three versions (no more than that, though).

What are you trying to say?
People don't like the dragon body because it's not the best choice in PvP/PvE. Some people might use it for the looks, but the majority doesn't.

I don't want dragon armor either. Dragons are supposed to be semi glass-cannons. They sacrifice armor and poise for different abilities, giving them armor wouldn't fit

I don't know if the actual covenants will return. But i'm sure that there will be covenants that fill the same function. for example: We might not see the Darkmoon Blades again, but there will probably be a cov that allows you to invade sinners.

I guess you could say that is what I meant by "Don't make them corny."
I put all of those suggestions out there, not that all of them are accepted, but that if they picked some of the different types, I agree that if all of them were in the game that would be a little too much.

I'm thinking some will, and some wont. It largely depends on if it's a prequel or a sequel though.

I imagine we will see the Way of the White again, as those guys have been around since the dawn of time (Havel was their first bishop, wanne?)

And I've been thinking of making a Dragon Bro, but unsure as to how I would want to do it, honestly.... How good is the Claws? Like how much damage?

I'd like to see Dragons get some variation like development of certain aspects themselves....

like at each rank you can choose on aspect to improve.... Fire Breath, Roar, Claw Attack, Dodge (perhaps grows wings to hover to safety in place of roll), Armour/ Scales, etc

but you could only pick three of them.... That would be epic!

I think they should do this for dragons, but also add variety in the other covenants as well. Maybe not in the same way, but have more covenant weapon/armor to focus on dex or str or mag users
