need fight club build advice

My planed pvp build will be finished at the early 90s but i need to hit 110 fot fight club. It will have 40 str, 40 vit, 43 end, and 10 attunement. The other are base and the starting class bandit. What should i do with the last 20 or so points? I was thinking resistance stacking but is it worth it? or just gouge vit or str for the paltry gains?

That's a tough one. I think you have a good amount of vit and str, and you could go two more into endurance for the casting speed, if you use pyromancy. If there are any weapons you are planning on using that need a few pts into dex, you could always go that route. You could put some points into faith for a heal spell or two, or the force spells. If none of those suit your fancy, you can always min/max for the paltry gains, like you said. Anything helps really, if you are staying at one certain soul level. If you do go for faith, you may want to put a point or four into attunement for 3 spell slots, those always come in handy. Flash Sweat could be useful, as well as inner strength with an un-upgraded flame. I like to have diversity in my PvP characters, just to switch things up for my opponent once in a while.

I can't say much about resistance, because I've always been warned against putting any points into it, so I never tried it, except on my first few characters who are just taking up space in my list.

get faith to 30 and use slb.

pure str. my attunement is for power within. only use i'd have for faith is replenishment to counter the health drain but i'll never get it off in the arena.

Oh! i read your post wrong, i thought 10 attunement was the number of slots, not the actual stat...derp!

Hmm I'd say go with Rant's suggestion then and get the sunlight blade for a +15 weapon, unless you are set on using PW

i'm not, but dmb is stronger.....@ power within means i only have to crack 1 defense so shouldn't it do more damage through heavy armor? is/was my answer to full giants flip ringers.

its stronger only if you are in the darkmoon cove +3 and keep in mind it does magic damge which people have a higher res to it unlike slb which is lightning which most people have the least res to.

fair enough. i'd give access to wog too..... crap. faith hybrids are my favorite so i was trying to get away from them. my next build will have to be pure int, cant end up as a faith hybrid that way.

im the same, i tried everything but ended up sticking with what i like, i like dex toons the least, shame.

while we're at it which club would you recommend? the large 2hr2 is worthless and the great 1hr2 is worthless if i remember correctly. so shield users (me) should probably go large but whats the (scaled)ar on them? might add pyromancy and ditch the shield if the greats ar is much higher. oh and do the clouds scale with the magic adjust? cus an unupgraded flame+non scaling dots could be awesome, force the fight to move at my pace (fast if power within is active).

the large club has a sick one handed r2 attack, it can catch a lot of people by surprise, imo its the only thing that does better than the great club, the great club has better damage, they both have an A on str and the rolling then r1 is so awesome and with that thing beign that big you can reach anything, even if you get parried they wont have time to riposte if theyre too far. i use the great club a lot in the fight club, baal does too, i love it. not sure if youve seen the videos but heres some of me using it.

Yeah, I love my Great Club also. You have to time your attacks well since you are left open if you miss and it drains your stamina quite a bit, but it is a blast to use and can be effective for PVP. I would recommend you at least give it a try.

*relieved sigh* Seeing the red admin name had me worried for a sec. Anyways, i fully intended to use a big club, it was just a question of which. the high risk/reward weapons suit my cautious playstyle well, as every hit really counts. i'll start with the great club though and try the large club in pvp afterwards as the great club seems more popular and its probably for good reason.

I use both for PVP. The Great Club does more damage, but the large club has an interesting sweeping attack for one handing R2. A lot of strength builds use the Demon Great Machete also. I have not had any luck with it, but that might be worth checking out as well.

you should deff check the machete, its my fave weapon in the game, i actually only seen like 3 other people use it but its awesome when its buffed machete vs machete. also msgs, demons great hammer(not as good as great club damge wise but i love it, got 46 str just to one hand it) and demon great axe. i didnt mention anything else cause that pretty much all i use since my dex is only 8 but if you have to the bk weapons are good but not as good as the ones i mentioned.

i'm positive i'll screw with all the str weapons as i get them, my focus on the club was the ability to use medium armor. if i like one of the others enough i'll alter/build a character for it or have a ring/armor setup that allows the heavier weapons to be used properly. i'm not wild about the demon great axe though, its range was to short for its rather slow attacks to hit much when i used it. its excellent for headgames and for reposting but i'm not good at (initiating) headgames. one of my earlier characters was built for it hoping for the ds greataxe to return.

in the end you should go with whatever feels right to you, make sure you like it cause if you dont like it and use just cause everyone uses it you'll never be as good like you wouldve been with something you liked. try them all and stick with what youre good at.
