Soulmass targeting bug

Im sure many of you noticed it:

The soul mass projectiles fire at random spots without any enemies nearby.

It mostly happened during me invading and i think the reason is, that the now friendly mobs are still considered enemies by the soulmass targeting system and thus they shoot at random spots - this is just my theory

Anyways, do u guys any workaround for this?
Its really frustrating for me as I made an Int character and cant really profit from my spells since soulmass is bugged when I invade and soul spear is harder to land than a backstab

There's really no way to work around it. Its been a persistent problem since release. Try using Crystal magic weapon to get the return on your character.

I think Moonlight GS and butterfly horn more than deserves you int.

yeah tho I rarely use bfly horn since i picked up velkas rapier.
Funny thing is i though i could enchant velkas rapier but turned out i couldnt but still loving the INT scaling on it (but i guess an enchanted estoc would be the same).

Thing is i made this character to utilize the sorcerys but now im stuck with different stats but same playstyle as Im mainly meleeing with big swoards

The problem is that it targets hostiles as registered to the host. As you're a hostile, they target you. I've seen people use it effectively regardless.
