most disturbing enemy in either souls game

What enemy in demons souls or dark souls do you find the most distrubing, personally i find the man centipedes in latria creepy as hell, especially the ones that spawn little man centipedes from their severed body parts.

I don't like the noises they make when they die. :|

I would have to agree about the man centipedes, and raise you the plague Babies they are creepy and the just wont die!!

I'm going to have to go with the Egg Burdened. It's an obvious answer, I know, but something about their design really does it for me. I find it both extremely off-putting and extremely fascinating, all at the same time.

I've never played Demon's Souls sadly, i plan to go do it after my current Dark Souls playthrough and then i can find out how disturbing they really are >:3

As for dark souls, i don't find the egg burdened so creepy. They look kinda crunchy, which is a lot less disturbing than looking mooshy. Am i making sense? xD The lil' worms that they spawn are a pain in the butt though.

I'm personally quite disturbed by those necromorph-things in blighttown. WTF ARE THOSE?? They're especially disgusting when their dead ragdolls stick to your character... blegh.

I'm going with plague babies. My wife walked into the room once when I was playing that area, and went slack-jawed at the idea that you had to kill babies who looked like they were drowning in a lake of blood. I believe her comment was "what kind of sick bastards play this creepy game"?

Yes. The plague babies in Demon souls was probably the most disturbing thing in either game by far. I jumped into the lake of blood from a low cliff and I actually jumped and dropped the controller because I was so startled.

Other honorable mentions would include the bugs with human faces, and the egg carriers.

I would have to say the most disturbing enemy was that ball made of bodies in demons souls...I hated that thing to no end.

Plague babies. They reminded me of a boss called 'Typhon' in an old PS2 game called 'Rygar's Legendary Adventure'. There were babies heads on the end of tentacles and they just kept crying, wah, wah, wah. I used to turn the sound off because I couldn't stand it.

Storm Beasts. I sorta freaked out when the Storm King flew close to me and i Noticed his Eyes :face: ...And that happend a few Weeks ago..

i completely forgot about rygar, that game was awesome! that shield!!!

yeah I agree, the ringing bells you could hear,and the knowledge that if they got anywhere near you they would suck the life outta ya -shudder-

Plague babies. I actually killed the fair lady with a bow since I'm so honourable THEN went in the muck. Not only are they super creepy but I was under the assumption I was free of danger. You can imagine how fast I got the hell outta the muck again

The Bell Gargoyles are kind of depressing .
For example, why is the secong Gargoyle half dead already ?
Was the other one just trying to protect the injured one?
And the injured one just couldnt let his Friend die like that and jumps in even though he is handicaped .

oh! for dks my creepy enemy is those weird flame bugs in blighttown, they look like... bloated head people combined with a trantula combined with that species of wasp that lays eggs inside its victims...

Mainly because of how they're made, but also for the two crying ones. I look at those like I do the Witches in L4D. It's sad.. and I want to hug them, but they'll tear your heart out.

Honestly, I do hope Dark Souls 2 has more J-Horror inspired enemies. I'd love to see something like the Kuchisake-onna (Slit-Mouthed Woman) or the Teke Teke.

Both mechanically and thematically, my vote goes to the Prisoner Hordes in Demon's Souls's Latria. Some people may know it better as the giant ball of corpses that slowly edges it's way toward you with frantic melee attacks while shooting magic (accompanied by a high-pitched wailing as it readies the spell). Not only was it a b**** to fight without ranged options, and even then it took a long time constantly listening to the whining and screeching spellcast, it explains what happens to prisoners in Latria who...don't make it.

^Those things are nasty. The Bone Towers from the TotG are like Prisoner Horde-lite.
