    In my Opinion the township was much worse before the latest patch, spell casters could use whatever spell they wanted and You might not even realize what spell they just used till it hit you. I haven't been there since the patch, but at least I won't be getting hit by invisible pursuers or dark beads -_-

    What's the best sl range in the township for coop/invasions, anyway? I figured it would be 80+ but it has been slow.

    Edit: Though there's definitely more people that are offering help than those who need it. So getting Summoned might take a while.

    Sl90-130 will always be best i assume as most people are Sl100/120

    I've found the same thing. My last two plays I went as soon as I got the Lord Vessel, and was between 60 and 75ish throughout my time in the DLC area. There's was a ton of multiplayer action during those levels, but now that I'm going back to PvP at SL100, I'm finding less and less. The arena seems really active at SL100 and slightly above though.

    i mean sure there are 3v1s if Host is not at the spawn and i need to run through the level to find the. but they are just PVErs then, not gankers.

    i never actually invaded into gankers waiting at the spawn for me, and i invade there ALOT.

    I almost never get invaded during the level, it's usually always while I wait for summons near the entrance.

    i can't even invade there on my Dex build because i never killed manus and the fog gate goes up instantly. so i just Host on him.

    but i do my invading on my str and int build.

    Just saw this topic and wanted to say this:

    I was going to play the quests and i was in human form in Township. A red phantom invaded me. Waited for me in the middle of the map (where you find a mimic) i though, well another WoTG spammer waiting for me to cross the bridge... But no!!!!!! He showed me the way and at the end i tried to give him 3 titanite chunks, he shrugged and gave me 3 ***ing titanite SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABS!!!! Thank you however you are!

    He was a Darkwraith and totally changed the way i think of this covenant!

    township is more like Anor Londo. Its very populated, very invaded, so yea, you expect gank sometimes, but most of the time you're just invading someone's world whos questing with a phantom.

    And I compared the Abyss with ToG, who invade there will use the environment to beat the host.

    I must say that so far I got ganked everywhere. Township isn't so bad. You can use mobs and elevators to your advantage in most cases.

    Forest is much worse when it comes to gank than Township. It's the worst place for dueling, but thanks to that a lot of gankers there are really stupid, or noobs, or whatever and are quite easy to beat.

    Kiln got really bad since I was there last time. More ganks than in Township, and that's saying something.

    Burg is bad as well and ganks there are the worst, as you can't use mobs and there's little space to maneuver.

    I've had a generally positive experience hosting in that great hall (the one lined with statues) at the end of Oolacile Township, just before the elevator to get to the Abyss bonfire. I rest at the bonfire, take the elevator up, kill the misshapen chain-wearing knight, and stand in the great room. It doesn't take very long for the invaders to take the elevator down from the township, and the area makes for good fights. Of course they could always run away... but I haven't had any try. Maybe it's because they came all this way to find me, and the room does look like it's intended for dueling?

    I've never given slabs, but I've often been offered items to leave (humanities, mostly, sometimes other things). I'll usually re-drop the items, plus a few extra, then leave.

    I've only seen one invader so far who didn't hide behind engine skirts in that level, and the Chasm of the Abyss has mighty powerful skirts.

    And btw, that one invader who didn't hide? I asked the host to back off so I could 1v1 him, and when he got whacked for half his health can you guess what he did? If you answered 'he ran and hid behind the engine's skirts' you'd be right!

    I'm not complaining that he did it, I could give a **** how people PvP, I just hate to see the endless whining that goes on here about how unfair everything is.

    Regarding the Township, I get those invaders who run and hide sometimes, but I just stick by the fire summoning duels through the RSS. I posted about one guy who hid for over a half hour while I enjoyed duel after duel. Finally I msgd him, "Bedtime. Fight or no?" and he came up and fought.
