Magic Abusers, and other poetry of uncommon eloquence

Post by BIG TIME MASTER on Tue Dec 11, 2012 3:47 am

A bounty of souls I had,
    Lost in one shot,
    Raging and mad,
I dodged and rolled and swung like a savage,
No warrior, though, against magic can manage.

    -

    An expert might dodge,
    Once, or twice,
    Against twenty shots,
Tis a roll of the dice.

    -

    To the boss I ventured,
    Bandits hungry for plunder,
    One blue streak, I died.

    -

    A fierce battle of steel,
    Interrupted so abruptly,
    Black mass, we are dead.

I respect peoples right to use magic, and abuse magic, but I still hate it.
I hate it, I hate it, yes I do.

I was a victim, of a magic abuser
The first thing he did, was cast a persuer

and served me my @ss with a crystal soul spear

It will be nerfed i believe and that is my convicton!

    I was so naive

    Great magic barrier has faded

    I could not believe

To the bonfire i was cast

Happened to many times in the past.

As soon as the Sorcerer casted Dark Fog, it made my way through the Township a bit of a slog.

And then came an Invader and in a twitch of an ear, he ended my run by spamming Crystal Soul Spear.

So back at the bonfire I then found myself, and popping a Humanity I reclaimed my health.

Then off I did run to retrieve my bloodstain, but alas dear reader it was all in vain.

For before I could get there I was again sent to my death, by another piggin Invader spamming White Dragon Breath!

This is quickly becoming my favorite thread.

Something about poems and DKS just clicks, and I really hate magic.

But dear reader it did not end there, by losing it all I just didn't have a care.

So popping another sprite I was Human again, and having good faith I equipped my best Talisman.

Then what do you know another Invader came my way, and knowing the past I did start to pray.

Well he started the fight by spamming of course, but I had his cards trumped by casting Emit Force.

With my resolve so strong I had to beat the odds, and so ended his life by spamming Wrath of the Gods!

    My forest hunting poem-

I'm pursued by some giants, flipping around
But my Moonlight Greatsword knocks them to the ground

Then the host drinks a flask and I ran in to attack,
    and get a sting,
    from a hornets ring,
Black Knight GreatAxe in the Back!

IMO- all of it can be dodged or blocked (with either gmb or pendant)... therefore Dark Magic is no more OP than Wrath of the Gods, or the BKGA or Dragon Slayer Spear or Demon Spear or DWGR... Every build wants something that gives them an edge- some people use buffs, some people use strength weapons some people use dark magic...

I personally try to not spam it- both for the sake of not being predictable as well as for the sake of having a good fight... If I'm dueling in a fair fight I will only use weapon buffs unless I see my opponent start spamming... then the Dark Beads come out lol...

    Fearful and cautious,
    the intrepid wanderer tread,
    one careless action,
and he knew he'd be dead.

    His sword of steel,
    was his only defense,
    and also his mettle,
His life was simple and made sense.

    He'd faced danger before,
    and met many defeats,
but from all he grew more capable,
both him and his weapon of war.

    Deeper and deeper,
    into dark chasms he journeyed,
    his white knuckles tense,
    Fearful, but not worried.

    No, not worried indeed,
    this warrior he knew,
that whatever demon he might face,
only two things he should need.

    His mettle and his steel,
    trusted, they'd see him through,
as they had many times before,
a mastery of his own self, he began to feel.

    A tragedy is told now,
    of the hero who fell,
    struck down from afar,
    never having exchanged a bow.

    His foe was frail,
    a man of the mind,
    his stature hunched and sickly,
his face behind by a veil.

    What manner of man,
would strike down a fellow warrior,
without having seen eye to eye,
or given a chance for both sides make their plan.

    This magician you see,
his soul is haunted by fear,
    he disregards the ancient customs,
his mind is worried for his future, and not on what be.

    What is a battle,
    supposed to mean,
if one cannot look his opponent in the eye,
to feel his breath and sense his heart rattle.

    The hero's soul,
lies now in a far off realm,
but its peace is not unsettled,
in death his story is made whole.

One half ready to defend, another to slay,
    slow and cautious, silent footsteps,
streaming blue crystals break through the atmosphere,
    never had a chance.

    The Master of the Rats

    Deafening din of silence,
    scurrying scampering claws,
    rotten putrid hideous decay,
    muck-sogged boots and weary eyes,
deeper within the Master in his den.

    A beast of a rat,
her kin dwell in their chamber,
matted mangy fur and darting glassy beady eyes,
snarling teeth gnashing to and fro,
    a prize of the Master,
    deeper still within.

    Oozing pouring gaping weeping,
I trudged deeper lost in despair,
    cursed and worse,
    surrounded and cornered,
the rats from the mother gathered together,
    hungry and seething,
a long needed dinner for they was I,
and the Master dwelled still deeper within.

    Brutal and primal,
    hurling claws and gnashing incisors,
disease hysteria and a violent foray,
    urged on by the Master.

The master of the rats and his three prongs,
    within his dwelling now,
    dreary and desperate,
hungry and sodded as the beast which I battled.

The Master in his robe and I in my armor,
    acquainted with evil-magic,
    I dived and I rushed,
    cold steel driven with terror,
humid and sapping and draining his life,
thrust in the heart and now slumped before I he lay.

    So was the story,
    absent of glory,
    stinking and festering,
    the Depths and their Master,
the Master of Rats became I.

I don't have a poem to contribute (nice work everyone).

I came in to mention that when I read the thread title I imagined a guy in Elite Knight Armor with a line of dark beads on a broken mirror......

    Spoiler:
Poor Oscar, we all knew he had a problem but didn't act in time.

The invader was dark crimson red

And, I thought I was not wearing lead

But I slowed in my pace

    As he avoided my face

WtF?!? He’s behind me- I’m dead!

    Standing tall,
    the Warrior fights tonight
    For his life, shining bright,
To the ground, a wondrous sight:
    Demons fall.

    Running fast,
    the Warrior lives again;
    Only feeling his pain,
    recovering in the rain:
    Estus flask.

    Lo, behold, an invader!
    A most unholy crusader,
    Challenges our hero,
    Verily.

    Blade, non-existant, in hand.
a strange Evil in the land,
    pulls out a stick,
    Readily.

    Rising last,
    the Warrior curses fate,
for a Foe, met too late,
    an Enemy, strangest to date,
    He attacks.

    Foe's stick raised,
    A dark light shines.

    Overwhelming power,
    merging the lines.

    Blade at the throat,
    Sword of the divines.

When pierced by black He be.
A wonder of might to see.
    The Warrior falls,
    The weakest of all,
    The Evil has triumphed
    easily.

    There once was a knight
    who loved a fair fight
who fought with all his might
    that brought people fright
when people invaded there were mages in sight
    but magic ain't right
    there's raging tonight
he threw the controller higher than a kite.

Flipping with poise, the mages they came
    they ruined my game
    but sacrificing their fame
    man, magic is lame
    it's all the same

    it takes almost no skill
to spam magic to get a kill
It kills the strongest of wills
just thinking of it makes me ill

    it's mostly the lag
    lag is a stupid f*g
i will smack it to death with a hand bag
or drown it with a wet rag

    i guess afterwards
    we'll all indict them
    the poor fools have sinned
the darkmoons will be their end!

You know, its not any different than blasting 1500 hp with the greatsword r2 + the leo ring and its better (as in you can do more about it) than blasting people off ledges with the dsgb. (which is hilarious)

Why do you not give these people crap?

I was surrounded by giants on high

When crimson slinked past my eye

    Though he spammed the WoG

And I was close to the fog

He died like a dog and not I.

    {ed!t}
P.s. Purely fabrication. I usually die.
