I really hope they use the same cast as DS or at least stick with the same archaic English style, it adds to the atmosphere.

Weren't the voice actors the same for both games?

I just hope they don't use Gwyndolin's voice actor again. Even in the styling of DkS, his voice got on my nerves BADLY.

On voice actors... I hope to see some ethnic variety. English, French, German, Swiss, Italian... (and so many others) I think it'd be really cool to have NPC's accents reflect that of his/her homeland.

Yeah I think so, patches, crestfallen warrior definitiely were!
Like the idea of accent variety aswell, Seigmeyer could definitely rock a bavarian accent. . even though it was perfect as it was.

Re: Dark souls 2: Wishlist
So the mythical world of lordan has earth languages and accents? I find that hard to believe. I always thought of it as a translation from whatever language they're actually speaking to the language you've set it to translate it to, thus earth accents (beyond the accent of the language its being translated to) would be out of place.

You want to listen to 12 year-olds talk smack?
Edit: I like the fact that sending someone a message actually poses a danger to me if I'm human, or that we can't perfectly coordinate attacks.

Ahh so there is no reason at all not to include boss check points. Not from a challange point of view anyway.

Indeed, the fact that some people can coordinate on the fly is the sign of a good PVE player, in my humble opinion

Re: Dark souls 2: Wishlist
There's no reason to think that world Lordran is in all has one universal language, or that there is one universal accent. Actually, that's a really bad, REALLY unrealistic part of a lot of fantasy worlds. I'm not saying that they have to be based off real Earth accents, only that there should be multiple accents to reflect that it's a mutiethnic and multicultural world. (as we've already been told/shown through items, characters and so on) I listed real-world accents because I know of no other accents to use.

Off-topic; Sloth, I just noticed your Location. That is awesome. That is just plain awesome.
Though, should a Black Mage, a sorcerer, be using (Emit) Force/Wrath of the Gods, a miracle? XD
USE MAXED OUT HOMING CRYSTAL SOUL SPEAR; HAIDOKEN!!!
By the way, I posted a detailed list of possible weapon/armor upgrade paths in the FOR WEAPON LOVERS thread. If you're interested in possible new/continued upgrade paths, go look at it!

Re: Dark souls 2: Wishlist
I'm fine with voice acting, as long as they don't waste money on overpriced A-List actors. Just find the low budget ones that have talent, but focus more money on giving the NPCs more lines, better AI, tasks outside of just sitting in one place forever (you should be able to run into some of them out in the wilds doing their own questing), etc.

I disagree. I think that they should either use A-List voice actors, or no voice actors at all. If you think that it's not worth it to get A-List voice actors, then you've never seen how much you can destroy a game's immersion factor by having unconvincing voices, just as much as with unconvincingly written scripts.

More Content.
It rather urked that by the time I had managed to gear up to the best in the game, there was nothing left to do.
I don't like playing the game to get gear, I like getting gear to play the game. That way there is more to do once the gear is gotten!

You're misunderstanding me. I'm talking about hiring an A lister just for that person's name, when there is someone cheaper that can do the job just as sufficiently. Trust me, there are a lot talented low budget voice actors that are just as good as the big names. I feel that money is often wasted on things like this when it can better be devoted to something that actually needs a lot of money thrown at it.
I'm not saying that we should be like Two Worlds and just have the developers double as the voice actors too.

Well the voice cast in DkS were great evidence of that, I hadnt really heard of any of them previously and some of the deliveries really made the game for me. Oswalds laugh, Seigmeyer, Laurentius, Solaire. . too many to mention, in fact I cant really think of anyone I didnt like apart from the undead merchant in the burg... they all fit the tone and setting perfectly, they were funny, sinister, friendly and probably pretty cost effective!!
Get em back in!
