PvP Draw's

Just had my first draw ever. Couldn't have come at a better time. I've been being trolled by this little b* in the Tomb for the last hour. He invaded me wearing a fog ring and TWoP/WoG spammed me off a cliff, then I invaded him and he had phantoms, and did the same thing again, and has been sending me hate mail the whole time about how horrible I am at the game. So I let it go, after an hour or so of nonsense, and just as I did I got invaded by this other guy. One of the best fights I've ever had. We were very even skill-wise. Had a back and forth for about 10 straight minutes down in the pit where Patches kicks you, and it ended with me over-handing him with the Zwiehander at the same time he blasted me with a Black Flame. We killed each other at the same time. I didn't even know you could do that. Made me feel completely better about the other thing.

other draw stories?

I'm surprised that was your first draw, I figured pretty much everyone experienced them fairly early in PvP.

My favorite stalemate was in a 3v1 gank in the forest where I took out the host and both of his phantoms at the same time the host WoG'ed me to send me flying off a cliff.

Honestly, knowing now that it can happen, I'm kind of surprised too. Just never happened before now.

I get draws all the time. Strange that you haven't.

yeah they happen all they time. they are pretty cool.

It was cool as hell. I was so pissed about losing to that troll again. I was out skilling him over and over. Like every time he got near me I ripped him a new one and he ran away and healed. I'm also pretty sure he was using that new spell glitch, because he cast WoG probably 30 times while I was in his world, and judging from the way he was playing I highly doubt he got them the normal way. Anyway, the point is I was seething, and it immediately snapped me out of it. It was like we were so evenly matched neither of us could get the better of the other. I was seeing a lot of similarities to my play style just in the way he was moving and handling himself when I came in to strike.

I love fights like that. I've met someone who basically was a mirror to myself in every way possible. Most of my fights last ~a minute, but this one lasted at least 10. It's not the longest, but we couldn't do anything to each other to bait a mistake because we already saw the next 2 or 3 moves coming. I came out with the win, but it honestly would have been cooler in a draw.

That's exactly what it was like. Usually if I'm just going toe to toe with someone the fight doesn't last very long, one way or the other. This one seemed to last forever. We were both waiting for the other to make a mistake and it just didn't really happen. I got him down to almost nothing right away, because I don't think he expected me to have so much poise. He came in and poked me with a thrusting sword, not sure which one, and I got him with a Zwiehander 2 hit R1 combo, and he backed off. Then basically we blocked/evaded everything the other did for a good 5 minutes, and he got me with the side of a combustion and then BSed me as I rolled away. We were both left with a sliver of health and then both landed a hit at the same time.

Awesome story. I like to see these kinds of threads over the constant rant/rage threads.

I guess the others get more draws which is nice. It's less common for me to get them in matches whether it be random or set up duels. Typically I just co op more than anything which results in some "draws" with the host when we die to the boss at the same time.

I get backstabbed a lot resulting in my death. Ill usually tie someone if they are versatile and act as the true chosen undead. But I mostly just lose...

One of my first duels was a tie lol.

I placed my red sign down at the Burg and was summoned by someone wearing the Black Lether set and a Bandit's Knife. I fought him unlocked for the majority of the fight, but we kinda traded blows for a bit. Then, near the end, both of us had next to no health. I ran at him as he charged his very last Great Fireball and pressed my attack button. When the smoke(?) cleared, we were both gone.

Something out of a freakin movie lol.
