youre trying to get the rite of kindling? sorry i misunderstood, try getting a devine weapon. to make one you have to kill the butterfly in darkroot garden then take the stairs all the way up where youll find the devine ember, give it to the smith andrei.

it is the right place for you, pinwheel is well inside your lvl's reach (you can even kill him with 3/4 chaos fireballs!!) you can do some jumps and falls right in front of the boss fog gate too, so you dont get killede by the mobs in between (check some youtube videos for where to jump)

cant you just run like crazy wearing only your underwear ? till the skellies rise you will be well rested in firelink. (from your previous post i thought you should be in the 2nd bonfire...)

after a couple suicide runs i made it to firelink. will try catacombs another time

Heh, you should have followed my gravelord quick guide in the archives. The catacombs would seem like a breeze if you know what you are doing. Hell, I go their after I go to New Londo afterwards every time I make a new character. Hard, yes. Fun? Defiantly.
