    I did some searches and did not see a
    prior topic on this, so hopefully im not beating an old subject.

    So as an old Everquest (MMO PC game) player
    I can’t help but think it would be pretty interesting to have armor dyes as collectable
    items or drops.

    Now seeing those custom armor colors the
    PC crowd are making is really making me jealous =P

    It could be implemented sort of like in
    Little Big Planet where the colors are based on real life materials.

    That way they could keep the realism and
    not have a bunch of florescent color knight running around.

    The added side effect would also be
    adding some more things to farm in zones without good ore or soul amount
    rewards.

    Good idea? Or bad idea?

    i am all for armor dyes, i want those and good beards in the next update/squeal.
    I know there is a bread tab u can mess with but i found it very disappointing

    I always wished there was a armour colour optimizer, I don't really want to spend time colouring in my armour, but I would like it if I could pick any set and have their colors work a little better together.

    If anything I'm really picky about the metal parts of the armour. I don't like to mix and match different types but even when you are mixing... say eastern and catalina armour the colour changes at different areas! So I have this boss looking character, go to blight town and I am like OH GODS EW! what happened now catalina is green and eastern is orange and it just looks goofy.

    It would be a neat idea, if they put in a little slider--such as in the character creator-- and you could just put on a group of similar metal type armour and slide it around until the colors looked a little less clashy.

    I doubt it'll happen though.

    I guess it would make it easier to mix different armour sets.

    You would need an option to do this, sort of like you would have to buy the dye sets from a merchant in order to change the colors. Also have it so when you want to change the dye of your armor you would need to use souls to do it.

    I'd be behind this idea though, I love full on customization like you can do in Saints Row or Soul Calibur V.

    Another thing that might be an issue is the color palette that would be used in the dye menu. They might have to limit it to 15-20 colors maybe more but it would be hard to do from what I've seen.

    Im the same way on matching up metal armor colors, there is almost sort of two sets between gold-ish’ and siver-ish’ and shape wise they match up really nice. Just need a way to even the colors out a little.

    It would be nice if that sort of fit in with the covenant aspect too. Instead of it automatically turning you black, red, or gold when you were doing “covenant work” the different covenant leaders would sell or reward you with the “team color” you could edit your equipment color with.
    Then you would be compelled to “collect them all” giving players more reason to play all the covenants.
