Can't give ember to Vamos due to previous dialogue interrupt by attacking wheel skeleton

The title pretty much says it all. So I pay a visit to Vamos to give him an ember. I select the talk option and he notices the ember I got from Londo Ruins, but before I'm even shown the option to give the ember or not a wheel skeleton comes rolling in doing some damage to the both of us and interupting the dialogue with Vamos. I quickly manage to kill the skeleton and try to resume giving the ember to Vamos. But all he says is I shouldn't bother him or something and talks of the ember located in Izalith. I simply cannot give my friggin' ember to him. I know I still have it as I can still see it in my inventory. I've tried going back to the bonfire and then back to him but he still acts as if I don't have the ember at all. So am I screwed until the next playthrough???

Quit and reload. If that dosen't work, WELL YOU'RE BONED...

Well, I guess I'm boned then... Dammit!

If you havent give him the second ember he takes try grabbing that and seeing if it retriggers it.

If you picked it up in new londo ruins then you need to visit another blacksmith.

When you approach him with the large flame ember, he says: "Hmph, what's that? An ember from New Londo?"

You don't get it there, but that's what he says.

Only one way to find out which it is. What's the ember in your inventory Bearded Dragon?

maybe you should resolve your sins, happened to me once, and that fixed it.

The ember from the New Londo Ruins is the Very Large Ember. You give that to Andre, not Vamos. Vamos only accepts the Large 'Flame' Ember and the Chaos Flame Ember. Hopefully this clears up some misunderstanding.

I feel very stupid now. I believe it was the very large ember I have in my inventory. I could've sworn though that Vamos talked about an ember in londo ruins as well as the one in Izalith. Anyway, my mind is put at rest now. Thank you all for helping a noob out.

Apparently, there are some screw-ups with Vamos' dialogue.

When you give him the Chaos Flame Ember, he mentions that it's the ember 'of' New Londo. Could be just a mix-up with the Very Large Ember or the Chaos Ember was once from New Londo. Izalith and New Londo connections?

It mentions something about The Very Lagre Ember having a powerfull flame, dosen't it?

I'm not sure about that but the dialogue does come up when you present the Chaos Ember to him. Ah, FROM... Why do you have to screw our minds so much...
