I've always wanted to do a play-through with 2 others. 1 of us is Kirk!
And the other two are Darkwraiths!

But no matter how hard I try I can't think of a way to get any of the armour
quite near the start of the game.

Having to go all the way to Lost Izalith for Kirk's armour kinda makes a Kirk playthrough non-existent.

ng+ is the easiest way kinda

Time-warping my system to go BB-glitch 2 darkwraith and a kirks set is likely the easiest way.

I wouldn't be able to do that. I own a Prepare to Die Edition.
No erasing patches and updating for me!

Although I notice quite a few differences between the Game + separate DLC
& the PtDE.

Boss Victory screen being one of them.
And people receiving different items after bosses, ringing bells etc.

I think Roleplay builds should be done in NG+ for the added difficulty anyways

I've done my Solaire, Oscar, Beatrice and Shiva cosplay runs on NG+ and one on NG++ and it was much entertaining that doing it on NG, where I could ohko almost anything anyway.

Doing a Kirk cosplay just asks for a low SL NG+, so that you could invade others, especially in the areas where Kirk himself invades for maximum annoyance.

I've done it. I actually have a low SL Kirk PvP build. You just have to find somebody that does low SL runs that'd be willing to trade with you. We have quite a few of them right here on the forum.

A Kirk setup is actually really great at low SL. Rolling stunlocks are awesome when your opponent has poopy early game armor. The Barbed SS is awesome at low level too. It's fast, does decent damage, and causes bleed. This is actually the same build I use all the stamina increase items combined with too. So it's essentially an endless chain of rolling stunlocks and bleed damage. One of my favorite toons
