Just a heads-up for peple that liked Dragon's Dogma. This December (aprox.) the new FREE DLC called A Trial Adventures – Challenge Pack, will provide a Hard Mode where all monsters are harder, thank god! Finally we have something compared to New Game +, because in this game when you beat it, you start all over with all your items but the difficulty/HP of monsters doesn't raise at all Dragon's Dogma: New Free DLC (released 4th December) will add Hard Mode and Time Trial (with new items as rewards) 3358384175

The Time Trial, I have no info about it, but from what I heard it's beating the game in the less possible time. Or beating bosses in the less possible time? Something like that.

One of the rewards for beating the game in Hard Mode will be the Duke/King's Clothes. Image of this suit:

    Spoiler:

This Free DLC will be released this Tuesday 4th of December.

Also there is the new expansion called Dark Arisen, which will add lots of quests, expand the story, add new items, among other things. It was announced that it will be possible to transfer your savegames from Dragon's Dogma to Dark Arisen. This detail combined with the fact the developers cataloged Dark Arisen as an "expansion", makes me believe they will sell it as a separate game, digitally. Not as DLC for Dragon's Dogma, but another game that can use Dragon's Dogma's savegames. It will be released at some point of 2013.

Dark Arisen Trailer (from Tokio Game Show 2012):

I heard about this when they released the info a few months ago and I'm really excited XD. Thanks for sharing, I didn't know the new patch came out around Dec 4th. It might make me take a break from playing Ratchet and Clank Full Frontal Assualt >=O

Ratchet and Clank Full Frontal Assualt is 19.99 and is basicly Tower Defense with the Ratchet and Clank formula in it. I love it for the 2 player same screen co-op, so myself, kids and wife can play, but there is also online multiplayer. If you have a Vita, when you buy the game for 19.99 you get the vita version for free.... (it doesn't hit stores until January though so there is a wait). If you're buying the Dark Souls DLC for PS3, wait on it, right now it needs patching because it's having alot of graphical issues and it's really annoying.

Back on subject of the thread though =) I got my toon to Lvl 134ish and this is tempting me to finally get to 200.... Maybe I should wait though.. Or are they increasing the lvl cap as well with the update? anybody know?

**Edit There is a Demo for Ratchet and Clank FFA on the PSN if you want to give it a try. I was spectical at first... but after playing it I instantly bought it lol

I'm going to wait to hear from some people on here how this new hard mode is. If it is more substantial than bigger health bars I will give it a go, otherwise I'll wait for DD2.

I'm tempted by the demo, definitely checking it out, though i meant the two 'proper' ratchet and clank games that are out on ps3, should be cheap by now compared to new games.

I heard the issues on the ps3 were only in the arena? I'm a pve mainly guy, and while i do pvp and im not exactly incompetent the main thing i'm doing with the dlc is to play through the pve, then maybe do some random invasions and have some fun with builds of new stuff.. The duelling arena will be used, but honestly if you can put up with and glaze over ******** glitches in skyrim I can put up with the occasional flicker on this lol!

It's out guys! The Free DLC! It's just 700ish Kbytes so go download it. If I were you, I would start a whole new game a play a class you haven't tried. I'm going for Mystic Knight (or something like that) this time in Hard Mode. Hard mode makes all enemies do more damage, and makes all things that drain stamina/energy take MORE energy, and it's a lot more (including grabbing enemies). But it also makes all enemies drop more money. A good touch. Can't wait for the new expansion!

I've played through the DLC and the glitch isn't game breaking it's just pretty annoying. And yes if you can deal with skyrim glitches you'll be ok with these XD I do hope they patch it soon though..Also, Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time are amazing games (which I'm sure you know) I think you can get Tools for around 15 bucks and Crack in Time for around the same =)

Going to test out the hardmode tonight!! Excited to revisit Dragon's Dogma and can't wait for the expansion.

    Spoiler:

I just realized this was all a marketing tactic, think about, Free DLC adding a new difficulty and a timed mode? And just before 2013, when the new Expansion is expected to be released? It's all to lure the Dragon's Dogma audience back to the game before announcing a release date for the expansion.

    Well played Capcom, well played.

Wow guys, it's REALLY hard now. I was a Fighter level 9, doing the initial cave quest, and those lizards... they one shot me everytime! I completed the quest now, but it was REALLY hard. And you can only block one of their attacks. If they happen to do a combo, you're ***. It's really fun, it reminds of Dark Souls, that feeling of overcoming a great challenge. They killed me like 4 times.

    One advice: save often.

EDIT: Lol I just noticed, that thing about "monsters will drop more gold" wasn't a joke, I got around 25k of gold just from that cave haha

DD was such a good game, that if given a bigger deadline to refine and improve the game, it wouldve been legendary. They realized that when it got amazing feedback, cant wait for DD2 big grin
