Nito No damge taken

Hi!
I'm on a mission to slay nito but i do no damage one him.. And i can't seem to figure out why it's happening. I'm on NG+

Can anyone help me kill him?

Where are you hitting him?

If you hit his back, then he won't take damage. You must hit his front or side.

How did you get there?

If you used the coffin express, then it won't let you fight him. You must get to him through the Tomb of Giants.

What weapon are you using? Maybe he is immune to the damage you are using, or your weapon doesn't have enough reach?

I came the Regular Tomb of Giants way, through the Spider skeletons or what they are and all teh little bay pinwheels..
And i've used all the weapons that scales Strenght... AND NO DAMAGE! but i think it might be a glitch because i haven't tried anymore,don't want to fight him alone if i can't do any damage
