I just looked these up and here are the AR these weapons would be at.

    Fire+ 10 Uchi= 504 AR

    Lightning+5 Uchi = 499 AR.

    Chaos +5 Uchi= 507 AR (W/10 Humanity)

    Fire + 10 Claymore = 575 AR

    Chaos +5 Claymore = 586 AR (W/10 Humanity)

    Lightning +5 claymore = 570

I only used these two weapons as they are currently what I'm building. I do find as someone has mentioned before even though Fire does more damage it seem people have better fire defense than lightning.

i'll try some tests with my great axe build as the ga has the highest base damage and may get the best bonus out of chaos.

I noticed that it has been a while since anybody has brought up the stupid sound that lightning makes.
As a caveat, until later in the game, I always prep for invaders to be using lightning and shrug as my thunder stoneplate and eagle shield along with thiefs armor soak up most of their elemental damage. Lightning is the weapon of choice for low level griefers and I avoid it due to this stigma.

Fire owns everything in PvE except for izalith areas. Lightning is good for PvP because, like others said, it's harder to find lightning resistant gear. (maybe people should pay attention on the metagame and use this to their advantage? I don't know I never play online)

For those who were wondering each humanity up to 10 ads around 10 damage. Larger weapons add more, smaller weapons less obviously. It usually comes out to be around 70-110 extra damage.

You all forgot to mention magic and enchanted weapons.
If you have really high Inl. enchanted +5 out ranks them all!
for example the bandits knife does 320 dmg with chaos +5 and 10 humanity...but a bandits knife thats enchanted +5 with 70+ Inl. It does around 400, and up to 440 damage with 99 Int...now most people dont have 99 anything, but even with 60 to 70 Int. you dell around 400 or a little less with enchanted +5's...Ive only tested this on the bandit knife, but it applies to any weapon.
