I tried it a while ago but it doesn't seem to work. It's supposed to allow myself to be invaded more often right? Or am i missing something?

Re: Does the Dried Finger work?
It resets your invasion timer and it does work from my experience. Are you getting fob gated but no invaders? Could just be having connection problems maybe.
Dried finger definitely works though

I guess it's the connection issues. How much faster does the Finger allow you to be invaded? I live in the eastern part of the world so connecting to the rest of you guys is really hard sometimes. Not to mention the lags...

Re: Does the Dried Finger work?
It allows you to be invaded instantly. It resets the timer that stops you being constantly invaded from 10mins(I think it's 10, not 100% sure) back to zero so you can be invaded straight away after using it. If you're not being invaded quite a lot anyway using it won't make any difference.
Trying using it in high traffic areas like the burg and see if it makes any difference dude.
Good luck!

Re: Does the Dried Finger work?
The red and blue orbs also do the same thing, they reset your invasion timer. So what I do is invade and either I get invaded or invade, both of which are good results for what I'm trying to accomplish.

The Red Orb isn't really doing anything for me. When i use it in the Burg, It's always either an unsuccessful invasion. So i host instead and each wait takes forever.

That's an indication that the issue is your connection, not that the dried finger is broken.

Sometimes it will happen that your bonfire goes out too...the fog gate goes up for a second and then your bonfire won't re-light. In that case use a homeward bone to reset the server connection.

Re: Does the Dried Finger work?
The misconception is that the finger only resets your invulnerability to invasions it doesn't attract them. So it's only useful after you've been invaded. If your hosting solo try spamming the red soap stone, every time I use it I get pulled to wraiths like no tomorrow.
The orbs only help if your looking to invade however the homeward bone is a great idea never would have though of that. Otherwise just quit and reload it work wonders.

Re: Does the Dried Finger work?
Whenever i try to use the RSS or the Red Orb, it turns unsuccessful and the fog gate appears but no invaders. I have to fix my connections somehow. =/

Re: Does the Dried Finger work?
Well the issue is spamming the orb is canceling invasion attempts and causing issues for you. I busy areas like the kiln I seem to always get false invasions where the fog wall goes up and I'm locked in however nothing happens. It seems like these cause me to be unable to invade/be invaded for 30 sec to a min and even though I place signs they do not appear.
I usually wait it out, put down my red soap 3 or 4 times in a row and wait a little, once your summoned/invaded you should be connected to active pvp'ers and seem constant activity.
As a formality I will say if you have a phantom and aren't being invaded there really isn't anything you can do about it. Ironic really
