    Lunar Gravelord Empty Lunar Gravelord

Post by DarkMoonKro Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:36 am

I made a level 20 Gravelord and I've been wondering; should I gravelord in the moonlight butterfly area(right outside the forest hunter arena)?

Or should I gravelord in the forest hunter arena?

I read that being a gravelord in the Moonlight Butterfly area spawns a few red phantom stone sentinels in the area right behind that tree you kill. Does anyone know what red phantoms you spawn if you gravelord in the forest hunter area?

Also, which out of the two areas would be best for causing trouble for the most people?

I'm not really a gravelord so I can't really say, but I hear for the hunter area you make the giant mushroom people red phantoms which I guess people farm for lightning resin and it's encouraged to do so, there is some form of a truce thread between gravelords and hunters somewhere on here, maybe the pvp section, but I don't know if it's still in effect and you could be hunted.

I'd advise in the butterfly area until you learn more just so you don't have to deal with invaders being possibly way higher of a soul level than you.

Aha, It took a little longer than I expected but here is the thread. https://soulswiki.forumotion.com/t1036-gravelord-and-forest-hunter-truce

If you want invaders I think the Stone Giants are better, they really become a choke point and actively forces a player to invade.

However the Moth is kind of a optional boss and its usually low level players in that area so not sure if thats what you want or not.

The gravelords in the darkroot forest and forest hunters have the same goal: kill the forest hosts and their phantoms. Gravelords curse the forest, causing black phantom giant mushrooms to appear. We forest hunters can take advantage of these mobs by luring hosts towards them. When we accidentally invade a gravelord, we either black crystal out or drop a few eyes of death to help our gravelord allies.

It's not a perfect alliance, as many people simply aren't aware of the truce (or don't care), but it fun for RP'ing, and it's nice to think that we can help one another in killing hosts.

Join in the fun! If nothing else, the madness of the forest has its charms. You're bound to get invaded constantly!

at TS, if you are goin to curse the butterfly area make sure you hang out by the bonfire. You are more likely to experience PvP than sitting in the area where the stone giants are at.
Also, the truce is always in effect. In the alvina forest if a host is cursed and killed by black phantoms he is likely to invade the gravelord via the sign and that way his jumper ways are eliminated since he will have to go 1 vs 1 against the gravelord, unless someone else decides to join the fun.

I would say try both sides and come back and share your experience.!
