How to solve control pad problem?

Hey guys,

I've been playing DkS for about 10hrs now and I've been using KB/M controls with DSMfix and it seems ok, but I was wondering if a controller is better. I have a Logitech F310 so I've been trying to get it working but I'm not having much luck. All the bindings for the buttons are screwy and I don't even have full functionality. I tried the Logitech Profiler to map out the buttons but when I use that the controller doesn't even function at all!

So, I want to ask you guys, should I...

1. Persist with KB/M controls as there's no advantage switching to controller?
   
2. Wait for some saint here to tell me how to get my Logitech working?
   
3. Get an Xbox controller?
   
4. Get a PS3 controller?
   

Any help and/or sage advice would be most welcome!

If you're having problems with it, you could just get a new controller like you said. I used one of these for a while: http://dx.com/p/usb-12-button-gamepad-controller-for-pc-160cm-cable-25917

The quality isn't the best, but they're dirt cheap so it doesn't matter.

I have the Logitech F710 and I have a slider that can switch my control's function from what I use in the profiler to the exact mapping of an Xbox controller. I*f you have the money i'd say it's a good bargain, but you may not feel comfortable with the "clicky" shoulder buttons

ps3 with motioninjoy, with the xbox controller option selected worked perfectly when I used it a few months ago before I got the F710

obviously xbox controller works perfect (as the game recommends it)

Thanks for your input sekkate. The F310 also has the D-X slider switch but when I set it on X, nothing works. When it's on D, some things work but the button assignments are wrong and some button don't work at all. I think I'll just get a 360 pad and be done with it.

Which, in your opinion, is better? KB/M or pad?

I use keyboard and mouse here.....changing the keybinds and playing around with DSMfix sensibility helps a lot.

Using KB only relates to masculinity
It is definitely a new experience to move the camera with keyboard. Looks corny, but in the end you get used to it, and have totally no troubles

Well, I think it is almost a good time for me to break down and cry... I just messed up my DAS keyboard, and went back to MS Natural Ergo 4000... And know what? This "super-duper" keyboard won't read more than 2 keys rollback... Meaning that I can't use keyboard for camera view any more, and goodbye to diagonal jumps/rolls... That's freaking AWESOME, since I can't use DSMFix (it won't work, at all). It feels like no DkS for the nearest 2 weeks of a new KB shipment...
