Waving, bowing, prostrating (falling onto the floor with both legs and bringing your head to your knees), praising the sun (hands up in a V), and one-leg kneeling (praying) are friendly or signs of respect. Just about everything else is a taunt.

prostration you could think of though as a taunt too I'd say, depends when it gets used.

As does a wave, if its after death it starts approaching taunt, but any time before its fine.
"Well what is it!", "Shrug", "Look skyward","Point down" are the worst taunts imo.

When someone's waving after he killed me I really never know if he's taunting or just means it like "farewell" or something... but I rather tend to see it as a taunt, I don't know...

Just bow. Can't go wrong with it. Anything else leaves room for imagination, minus those that are certainly an insult.

My favorite imaginative taunt is 'proper bow' while facing away from them, a 'Kiss my a**' sort of thing.

The only gestures i do is the kneeling bow before duels, and then i tebow when i win the duel.

The biggest insult gesture imo is bowing after you just 3v1 gang banged some one, as if saying "good duel" or bowing after chain back stabbing.

I would rathet them do that then bow. Bowing is more in your face and ahould be used for fair duels.

I would only use the point upward if the killing blow was with a BKGS heavy attakc that launches them into the air, it's just too good of a chance at humor to resist.
The prostration seems like a taunt too, if they do it where you died, its like they are mocking you.

I've used Prostration before when some one was incredible and I win out of luck or something. I usually send them a message too if it says they speak English on their profile.

I have to agree with you guys, nothing, and I mean nothing, pisses me off more than everyone bowing after a 3v1 insta-gangbang. Just for them to act like they have one shred of honor is infuriating to me. It's so damn ironic that it's not even funny. Just lame.

I honestly don't care if gang bangers do "rude" gestures after i die, its expected. But if they bow, or use prostration (to me it kinda looks like they're falling on their knees laughing and saying "holy *** that was so easy!!") i will lose my **** :evil:

i take the bow as a compliment only if i killed at least 1. otherwise i camp near boss with an orb and hope for another chance. though, to be fair, most every gesture angers me in any mostly one-sided situation. bows after 30 sec 1v1 fights which ended in me being mauled are just as irritating.

If its 1on1 I see it as being polite. Unless you prefer looking skyward.
