    Hello guys, sorry if this already asked or if i didn't look carefully in the wiki but i didn't find the information i was looking for.

    I'am a Pyro with a Int build, Sorcery and Pyro, i'am using atm a Enchanted Battle axe +2, before it was a Magic one +5 and i was wondering, if my weapons will deal more damage as Magic+10 or Enchanted+5.

    I know that my weap got C scaling while Magic, and B scaling with my int stat while Enchanted but i seriously don't know what to do atm.

    I plan on getting my int up to 41 at least to use logan catalyst, so if you can manage to tell me what'll be best thanks you very much.

    The only difference i'm aware of is that Enchanted upgrades further removes any scaling in other stats besides Int. I suppose it will do more damage than a Magic+10 with 41 Int. Then again, i could be wrong.

    I've never been able to see a case made for Magic weapons over Enchanted weapons. At lower INT elementals do more damage than the Magic path, and the Regular/Crystal path allows one to take advantage of buffs.

    In short, go with Enchanted.

    P.S. - If anyone knows of a situation where Magic>Enchanted please let me know, because I haven't found one. :weap-magic:

    Regarding magic upgrade vs enchanted upgrade scaling, it can be really tough to find out which would benefit you best. IIRC a maxed out magic and enchanted gargoyle halberd have the exact stat scaling but completely different damage output. This can make it difficult to choose between upgrades if you're considering investing heavily in a specific stat so the best way I would deal with this is to upgrade two weapons, one magic and one enchanted. You can then use which one is best for your situation because each enemy type have different resistances and you will be able to switch between the two to maximize your damage.

    At 50 INT, Magic and Enchanted are equals (As opposed to other stats, INT and FAI suffer returns starting at 50, so they got 10 more scaling points) and are 8% stronger than Chaos; 12% than Lightning.

    At 50 INT, Enchanted surpasses Magic and is 12% stronger than Chaos; 16% stronger than Lightning.

    Technically, you should scale your magical upgrade paths as they'll be stronger than elemental...but, that takes a lot of stat points to manage.

    That's due to the 40 Strength, though.

    In this case, at 40 INT, Enchanted beats out Magic.

    an enchanted weapon's magic damage rating also scales faster than its physical damage rating. it's the other way around for magic weapons.

    i feel that i get more use out of having a higher magic damage rating than a physical one, so i tend to only make enchanted weapons.

    its a similar argument between divine and occult. i stick with divine because, like enchanted weapons, they have higher magic damage scaling.

    I've maxed out the Rapier, Balder Side Sword, Estoc, and Composite Bow along both Magic and Enchanted paths, and haven't yet seen Magic outdamage Enchanted, even on a character with high dex and high int.

    I always bring int to at least 44 on magic characters though, so maybe with 40 dex and about 30 int Magic would be better.

    If you have a DEX/STR stat that's either nearly as high as your INT, or higher, than Magic will usually end up doing more damage than Enchanted. The nice thing about it is that it's usually higher physical damage as well, which we all know makes it easier to break through guards and stunlock. My latest INT/DEX ended up with stats that favor Magic over Enchanted. I could post the stats if you really want. I upgraded 2 Shotels, one magic +10 and one enchanted +5 and I do about 50 more damage with the magic regardless of the enemy.

    Also if you're going with a build that has all 3, STR, DEX, and INT, for say an Arty sword type build, then if your STR and DEX are just under, equel to, or higher than your INT, you'll be doing more damage with Magic than Enchanted. Not that you'd really want to be using a Magic weapon if you had access to Arty weapons anyway, but I'm sure that'd be the case.
