    Braziers opposite Lordvessel lit?...post here

Post by netman63129 on Mon Nov 19, 2012 5:43 pm

The area behind where you place the LordVessel contains 9 braziers. Has anyone ever seen one of these lit? I'm thinking 9 covenants, maybe reaching +3 in a covenant lights a brazer. Maybe lighting them all does something special?

Okay thanks. I just read the whole thread and it appears that lot of work went into this but nothing ever confirmed. Two people thought they may have seen a brazier lit but no photos. However, a small number of players probably read the original thread and performed testing, which makes for a small sample. It would be interesting if more people could pay attention to the braziers and post if they see one or more lit.

I have one last theory on this, but I'll probably never get around to test it myself, so might as well put it up here. I do not believe this will work, but it's still a theory, lol.

The theory is based on that the only time the flame is truly extinguished is right after you kill Gwyn, before you either link the fire or leave the arena. You'll also need to do this on a fresh game/new account with no previous savegames.
So, after defeating Gwyn on the first character, quit while still in the arena and start a new character on the next save slot. After ten characters (save slots) have defeated him, and they are all in his arena without going to ng+, all the braziers should be lit. The outcome of this theory should be apparent when the second character reaches the firelink chamber, if one brazier is lit or not.

I might actually give this ago! Log out after killing Gwyn. Gotcha! happy

I think the solution would be something that makes more sense from a game standpoint...nine covenants, nine braziers, etc. For example, it would make the most sense to complete a covenant and that would light a brazier. Unfortunately, that seems to have been tried. I would say that unless someone can submit a photo of a lit brazier, that part of the game probably wasn't completed.

Nice theory ublug. Unfortunately all my character slots are filled so I can't even test it for 1 brazier! But I'd be very interested if someone tried this.

You can always make a new profile on your PS3 Bla1ne. 10 fresh new slots.

I guess... And I could make it something Dark Souls related, which would make it that much more entertaining when I invade with it. Or something clever for when I chameleon-parry hosts. lol

But I don't play Dark Souls enough anymore to do that...

That actually sounds like an interesting idea though. I second this question.
