Help on Training High level Newbie to PvP SKL 136

HELLO!

I am one of the Protectors of Gwyndolin, But as my skills in monster killing isn't the same when it comes to protect my lord from the human evil that faces him...

With this being said, I need your help to train me in PvP AND YES Treasures await Or "Bounties" as you Sea men call them.(Pay in Humaneties or ITEMS Pre dlc..)

I wish to do this so i can protect my brothers and my lord of harms way.

So please with all the pride i have left... Teach me how to PvP

SL: 136
Build: TANK
Stats:
Vitality: 50
Attunement: 16
Endurance: 40
Strength: 50
Dexterity: 16
Resistance: 12
Intelligence: 28

Gear: Smoughs set or Elite knight set + 10
Rings: ring of favor and protection, Havels (To roll with heavy Equip)
Weapons: Lightning Zweihander +5, Dragon Greatsword,Grass Crest shield+5.

If anyone of you could help me complete this task i will always be in your favor.. (Yeah just like knight solitare)

Since because. Once you make a weapon elemental with lightning or fire it no longer scales with your stats. Yeah, even with the lightning nerf in 1.05 it probably still inflicts close to 700 total damage. But, you could get that much damage with 24 strength (minimum requirement). If you want to make a lightning zweihander build, you should invest those 25 stat points in endurance or vitality.

Now with the build you already have, I would go with a +15 demon great machete if you are insistent on ultra greatswords. I'd also suggest moving up to 18 in dexterity to give you the option of a black knight great axe.

If i got the DGM on 3+ in lightning.. how do i turn it to 15+

Whoops missed that. Descend to +10 at... any blacksmith? I think any blacksmith. Then you need the very large ember from new londo ruins. Give it to andre and it ascends to +15 with chunks and slabs same as lightning.

I dont have a +15 DGM myself yet, so I'm not sure how much damage it will do. It may do less overall than the Zwei, but that is deceptive because it will do much more in physical damage.

And you can buff it with pine resin. Or you know, crystal magic weapon. But that is a bit overkill for my tastes, lol.

Another build thing, or rather a weapon you may wish to try out.

Making a +14 Large Club. It has a poison effect, and deals pretty good scaling damage. You can also buy Poison Resin and buff it so it will poison targets usually in one or two strikes. With the Rolling 2h R1, it can be pretty devastating. It's a good option against bosses with some PvP viability. Plus poisons are always useful. The pressure brought by it can cause your enemies to make mistakes. Just keep an eye out for parries, you'll have to be wise about when you strike.

@Tolvo I thought the Large Club couldnt be parried?

It can be parried.

It's one of its main drawbacks.

Ah I see, I see. I dont use mine when invaders show up, so I didnt know :x

It's all good.

The Rolling 2h R1 is pretty safe to use though since while it can be parried, you'll go your whole Dark Souls career without being parried. Because it's basically a miracle when it happens.
