Dark Orb isn't behind a wall you need to cast light on, it's just in a room guarded by two bloated sorcerers. I found a video that might help, check the video description for where the dark orb is. 12:55 is when he finds the spell.

You find Dark Orb in a chest guarded by 2 bloated sorcerers. It's hard to describe exactly where the area is but i'll try.
Head down past the Township bonfire till you come to the shortcut elevator to Lower Township. Go past the shortcut, down one set of stairs and then turn right just before the next set of stairs (there will be a bloated dude in the middle of the stairway, ignore him and head right before the stairs). You'll see a broken railing, below which is a corpse with an item. Jump down to the corpse, turn right and you'll come across a doorway. Enter doorway, head down to fight bloated sorcerers and open chest for Dark Orb sorcery.
Hope my description is accurate enough for you.
Just fyi, the Dark Orb spell isn't the best of spells out there. Too slow to cast for both PvE and PvP and in PvP it is very easy to dodge/silverpendant.
