Cheapest weapon in DkS

What is in your opinion the cheapest weapon in Dark Souls.
In my book...Washing Pole, damn i hate it when i see a Plate ninja with this thing and a Weapon enchant.

Other than that a Rapier type wpn behind a shield, poking turtles

Cheapest or most annoying? I consider neither of those cheap.


For me, the bkga. There's so much said about it but it annoys the crap out of me. I go into rage mode every time I see it.

Another weapon I hate going against, the DSS. The reach on that thing is unmatched and just ridiculous. I've had a guy kill me by chipping me down by 100 or so health at a time. He was in dragon body with the grass crest, probably the stamina ring while chomping on grass every chance he got. He just rolled and poked me to death.

I'd say there are a few slightly over-powered weapons, like BKGA, Moonlight GS, but cheap weapons? Not really. Annoying? All spears.

I just can't stand that soul spear or whatever it is. Especially with the lag, you roll out of the way then half a second later 3/4 of your health is gone.

When lag isn't an issue, magic itself is rather easy to dodge from any distance. With lag, I can see it being an issue, but it's not the mage's fault. It is lag's fault. I think that kinda nullifies it being "cheap".

To be honest, I really don't see any of the weapons as being "cheap". There are cheap setups (ninja flipping tanks in full havels as an example since tanks should not be that graceful and griefers at low levels) but I don't think there are any cheap weapons. It's just that some are better than others.

Hijack alert!! Tsk tsk Meridam. Throwing knives are only 10 apiece. Before anyone goes there I know wooden arrows are 3 but they're ammo not a weapon by themself. Oh my god, I almost died laughing at that direction change.

Back on topic. There's no such thing as a cheap weapon. It's war and everyone is looking for an advantage. If it exists its fair. As far as annoying weapons go....Clubs. Not much to look at.

how do the painting guadians do so much with theirs anyway? maybe if they made the daggers scale with dex...

If I was to go with the weapon I find to be annoying then any spear type. Those fights are so dull and drawn out.
