A Mortal Kombat tournament. In my country, Argentina. It's a mere local tournament, but there's gonna be lots of people, and is sponsored by some serious companies like Microsoft, EA, Intel, and some local companies.
I'm nervous, I don't wanna lose on the first round! The shame would be unbearable. To be honest, I'm playing for the prize,
for the 1st place:
I just hope I'm good enough, I've practicing with Cyrax a lot, 67% combos all the way! And I can do 50% damage combos with only 1 bar. I just have to do "field" practice, I have to train at dodging attacks, predicting my opponents moves and all that.
Now one of my main issues is that the game will be played on Xbox 360, and I play on PS3, I created a thread some time ago to ask for help finding a good adapter to plug my PS3 controller in a Xbox 360, but no one helped , so I ask that here again!
Any advices for a guy that never played in tournaments? Do you guys played in any tournament of any game? How did you prepare for it? How to deal with the "I don't know if I'm good enough" feeling?
The tournament will be the 14th of December, the same day the Hobbit is released! Oh my god, I will have to go watch it in the morning.

for the 1st place:
- 1000 pesos (would be like $200 US dollars),
- Intel "merchandising" (not sure what they mean with this, are they going to gift some a intel T-shirt? lol),
- an EA game (I suppose it's my choice, because it's not specified which one, it just says "an EA game")
- Audio system Samsung DA-E550 (some strange audio **** I would sell)
- 500 pesos ($100 us dollars)
