Natural Selection 2

I saw this game on steam a few days ago, thought it looked interesting. So i watched/read some reviews/gameplays and i think it looks awesome. I love how uneven the teams are, it's not just 2 teams that are exactly the same against each other. And the alien side looks like it would be a lot of fun to play as.
I'm going to buy this game as soon as i get my net back.

Is anyone else going to buy it?


PS. It's a PC exclusive.

So I downloaded it yesterday but havent been able to play a single godforsaken match because of stupic Precaching taking forever to finish......and before it even gets to 10 of 900 or whatever I time out.....

@Viral. I haven't even downloaded it yet, i've been busy with real life

Its pretty damn fun and would be better if I didnt lag so much.... its also pretty tricky to grasp, especially commanding.....dont do it if you dont wanna get yelled at....

Other than that I love the marines and thier mechs.....I cut a swarthe through the enemy lines in my second game in one and made it to the enemy base before a giant Rhino wasted me/.....

Also the Marine commander was hillarious....He was great, told each player where to go and if we had to back up or cover someone....and made hillarious jokes mid game when he saw us (ME) die....

I've heard that the community in this game isn't very good. I hope that's wrong though, this seems like a game that would be a lot more fun if you play with fun people.

It's taking forever for me to find a server though

Its a punishing game for me since in most FPS im not a reactive shooter, when I played MAG I was the tech assault guy and would basically carry all the specialist gear and a few light firearms and support my squad with taking objectives and sabotaging ****.....

In this game I can't do that or am not yet good enough to do that....though I do like running around repairing things.

I've been playing on the alien side a lot. And i keep rushing at my enemies I need to learn how to stay hidden and ambush them.
I'm also having trouble with navigating through the map.

What I love is spying on people from the roof.... People never expect me to wait for them to kill my team mates and then strike!

Counter to your alien choice Im a marine man through and through and Im especially good at killing skulks and gorges!

I hate it when the marines team up though. It's very hard to kill a team of 2-5 marines as a skulk.

I decided to focus on the aliens since i can play as a human in almost any other FPS game.

The community it's awesome, at least from the servers I joined to, except for the very occasional mad guy who insults people that switch teams as being "cowards".

And I don't have any lag. I'm in Argentina, so there are like 4 servers that have under 100 ping for me, the rest start all at 200 ping and above. So, if I can play well, AND find servers, it's a problem from your part.

This game is awesome, and yes it's punishing, but that's why you have to do teamwork. To avoid losses, and to complete objectives.

At first i had a problem with finding servers. But then noticed that my firewall was blocking ome servers I fixed that and now i always find a server with less than 100 (sometimes less than 50) ping.

I wish i had some friends to play with though. It would be a lot of fun.
