Berg= Troll Central?

Berg's been slow. Understandable with the new PVP arena. I thought more folks would use it to level up in their covenents through honorable fights. The fights I get turn out to be trolls and grimy people.

1st fight: Troll
Throw down my buffs. Dude runs towards the boss trying to lure me into enemies. I stay in the arena, he runs back taunting me. I shrug like "what the *** are you doing? Get down here!". Waits until my buffs wear off and then Fights me with pure pyro. Grimy.

2nd Fight: Gang up
I throw my buffs on at the top after bowing. Other dude bows and I advnace towards him. I get slammed from behind. One guy is close range, the other is a long range mage.

3rd Fight: Heal win this fight for sure.
Throwing down with another Darkmoon Blade using. Great duel, but I get him near death. Dude retreats and heals. Kills me off.

4th Fight Ambush
It's the dude from fight three again, except he strikes just as a spawn.

What happened to my berg?

Same thing that happened to the kiln, it became popular with everyone rather than people looking for good pvp, so the gankers and tryhards line up. Try the butterfly forest or the painted world.

No, the butterfly forest, its next door to the forest hunter and ganker cesspool, I wouldn't dream of bringing honor and fair play to the big forest.

Moonpit is another dueling spot Ash, yeah it can be annoying sometimes with how people are online. I'd just say, grit your teeth man. Maybe test out some other areas like the PW or Kiln and see if you get any better luck.

Having Started an alt char(big barbarian type with huge weapon) what i found invading me in the burg was 90% old BB glitchers with lightning weapons etc and 10 % really good fights.

It's just a matter of luck who you get in the burg, some nights I can get a steady flow of duels going with 4 or 5 good guys. No BS fishing, healing or turtling, just good clean super agressive duels. Then other nights all I get is dark magic spammers and the like.

The best way to increase your chances of decent fights is to host instead of invading I find, at least you can't get ganked and they can't estus chug. Plus if you get a lot of summons you can just host a couple fights between phantoms which can be pretty good to watch between fights

It's fairly common (atleast I believe so) that people try to avoid you while buffing DMB. Try not to buff sometimes and see if there's a difference in avoidance.

Other than that, go and try out moonpit for duels like Tolva already stated : )

Pretty silly to buff up then criticize people for backing away from it, or at least turtling. Turtle is the counter to buff spam.

I will roll turtle a buffed weapon until it wears off. Especially a fast buffed weapon. Sorry to those buffers out there. But, I have no interest in dying in 3 hits.

unless its a buffed Great sword or any other weapon that is easy to parry i usually turtle it.

Some people hate buffs, op. I'm not saying that's why these guys were cheap, but in general buffing won't help promote the duel mentality you're looking for.

Even on my Darkmoon I don't buff unless they do. That's if I'm looking for a duel, I mean.

Lol when was the Burg not full of Try Hards and Trolls?

Go to the moonpit its a bit slower but way better duels!

Really! Where is a good place to throw down my red? I hate the forst nothing but low life gankers, the township is the new hot spot for honor.

In the pond near the 1st stone gaurdian that is the arena area or 'moonpit'!

Nothing happened to the burg it's the same crap hole it's always been from what I remember.

hmm anyone bothered trying tomb of the giants? the large divine ember room would be great... but its dark and there are big skellies for the host to deal with...

I don't want to duel anyone that's casually dealing with that nightmare of a room haha
