Why did you join your covenant?

I picked Sunbro outright. I've tried dorkmoon and d*ckwraith but I felt dirty as a wraith and bored as a moon. Also I suck hard at PVP. I've never tried Gravelording or Dragoning. Is there any point in Way of White?

Anyway, I picked Sunbro because jolly co op sounded fun, and I was right. I spend most of my time online helping people kill bosses for no real reason... I don't even know what to do with the souls. I try to help rather than guide because I know how annoying it is when you summon someone up for help with a detail as well as the boss (eg a titanite demon or smth) and they dash towards the boss fog and fidget until you do it.

User made because i love PVP, And Darkstalkers is great for PVP, Ingame im allways a Darkwraith or a Gravelord, sometimes a dark moon as i love PVP, The thrill of the hunt, or teaching some gankers is what makes this game for me

I usually start out with White when I'm questing. It'll make finding phantoms easier and less likely to be invaded. I join Sunbros for the cool gesture and if I want the Sunlight spear (or if I want to make a coop toon). Dragon to get the dragon stones. Chaos to unlock the shortcut. Sometimes I join the Princess Guard because it is hard to say no to her awesomeness.

That leaves the covenants I will actually use long term. Darkwraith and Forest are my favorites, Gravelord, Darkmoon (less likely), and Sunbro (honorable mention because I do use it long term).

Darkwraith is great, and at SL 55 (part of our Darkstalker covenant rules), I get constant invasions. So, great for constant PvP action.

Forest Hunter is awesome since I get to hunt gankers.

i joined the forest hunters because im tired of duels and regular invasions, going agaisnt two or three people is really fun, sure i lose a lot but at this point of the game's life cycle i dont care at all.

I joined the Forest Hunters because I love fighting the odds and nothing makes me happier than luring gankers into a bowl full of STDs to meet their maker (the Forest Hunters in the Glory For Alvina thread know what I mean)

Most of my characters will become Darkwraiths because of the PvP aspect.

I joined the Forest hunters because I suck at dueling. And I enjoy chaotic fights.

Darkmoon here. Easy access to invasions. The lack of a lvl cap is a pain though but worth it. My darkmoon didnt stop at 120, so i have to pvp up anyway. And i like the idea of punishing wrongs. Being blue is just cool too. That and...darkmoon blade spell is a beast. Still have 2 sunlight blades to go with it too. Buffing heaven.

To get items, armor, etc. from the covenant, then abondan it when I want to. Because I play offline.

Interesting perspective. I've never really been that great at duels, but part of me has always been tempted to just say screw it, and dive headlong into this sort of mayhem. Throwing knives, dung pie, spells, pyro....fight like a madman, y'know?

it is so fun, i assume you never really cared about duels? then head to the link skare posted and you will have some fun there. you on psn? we have a chat, you can join in while youre hunting and just talk about how the hunt is going.

I usually join Forest Hunters while I'm creating a build, primarily to avoid invasions while I'm questing around the forest minding my own business

Once my build is finished I'll join the Sunbros because I generally prefer Co-op to PvP. Praise the sun and all that jazz.

Forest hunter - I buy crack when I want to invade other areas. Or I just host...

@amos do you have a host build or do you just host sovs and dws?

I can host Arena (Artorias one) Oompit etc; on most toons

Dragon, because I like the idea of changing myself to better (or usually worse) fight my opponents, which happen to be everyone (dragons fight each other for scales, and want humanity to die).

I joined the Princess Guard because I like helping people. I wish the co-op could last for an entire playthrough versus just certain areas, though, because I prefer co-op PVE. I'm not sure if their Miracles are useful or powerful enough to be appreciated, though. It would be nice if this Covenant enjoyed further advantages, such as allowing Phantoms to assist for more than one area without impediment by Fog Gates or something.

It seems to me that this is one of those Covenants that has a thematic reason for being so under-developed, though, since Gwynevere presumably no longer actively manages or directs it. Also, the people joining via the illusion in Anor Londo have to gain access to the skills by putting two holders of its' Miracles out of their misery, so the true Gwynevere is probably not even aware that they are people out there continuing her mission in some way. This back story adds to my romantic view of the Covenant.

I was confused for a sec there. Pretty sure you can't invade people who've defeated the boss. I've never been invaded in an area I've beaten, at all.
