Recently something happened which made me realize why I like playing Dark Souls so much.
I made a build where i focused on being the most OP possible and tested it. Guess what, it worked! I was crushing people left and right, with some fights only lasting a few seconds. Complete with scathing hatemails and all.
Then something happened, it stopped being fun for me because I had taken away the one thing that made me like Dark Souls so much in the first place. The challenge! Using something with more form than function and just having fun with it...sometimes I win and sometimes I lose.
Bottom line is I would rather be the underdog in a match and try to BEAT that OP build, than have that OP build myself.
Because in Dark Souls, challenge is what I live for. It's a process of learning, self-improvement and overcoming the odds.
