by ReapersHowl Wed Nov 07, 2012 7:49 pmI got the DLC on my PS3 not to long ago and I've been playing it a while just beet artorias with one char. and fought him today with another. However with the second char. I got some weird visual glitches were some things would disappear, like the aura from the wolf ring I had on and the flame around the bonefire in the oolicle sanctuary, along with messages on the ground and summon signs. These effects along with others like the fog gates and the auras around artorias, would flicker in and out randomly and for the majority of the fight they were absent all together. Can anyone tell me what is going on, the only thing that I can think to have done is to quit the game by switching off my PS3 without exiting to the main menu first. Now the same visual glitch is happening with my other char. that is also in the sanctuary. Would reinstalling the DLC help, and if so how would I go about doing that?

I get visual glitches all the time on PC.
-Frampts face keeps stretching through walls.
-Various textures bug out
-When I was fighting Nito, his aura ran off and I was just fighting his skeleton

Was the disc taken out at all? Had similar glitches once because of a dirty disc

Save data is only coded to stats, items you have and location as far as I know. There's even a default location if the game can't read the code on where you last were. Shouldn't affect graphics. That's all on the disc. I've only ever seen stuff like that with disc or hardware issues. Dirty lens, disc, scratch, system crapping out, etc. Sometimes software conflicts but that would be pc more. On not an expert but that's my experience

The system is less than a year old so I doubt it is crapping out, the disc is also fairly new and has no scratches or dirt on it. Should I try to shoot some compressed air into the disc drive to see if that helps clean the lens of any dust?

Wow, just wrote a post on exact same thing. If it's happening to multiple characters and Across the network it's not us or save data files or dirty discs. I made sure my vents were clean ( thought it might be overheating too)

This is happening to me aswell, but only started today. Signs on the ground be it summon signs or written tips are flickering and appearing and disapearing randomly. When i go to the arena and step on a trap door the aura light that come up around the trap door appears and dissapears randomly. And the blue flame on the bonfire would randomly flicker. And artorias would randomly vanish when i was helping others co-op. This only started today for me.

Sounds like the flames are fading, soon only dark will remain.

UPDATE: I went to the undead parish and explored around and this glitch is only happening in the dlc content all the signs everywhere else is normal and everything seems to be working properly.

This happened to me today too, so weird. I haven't seen anything similar to this happen to me since I bought the game in january.
