It isn't magic. It's an item, the silver pendant. You can find it in the DLC.

I had a guy try using WoG to repel Pursuers (I only used it because he was a humanity biter in the fight). I don't know if his timing sucked or what but it did not end well for him.

Ahhh, I know where that is. Not acquired with either toon in the DLC yet. Thanks. Does wrath of the gods repel dark magic?

I don't know. It repels arrows, and IIRC it can also repel magic. So it might be able to repel the new dark magic.
If you want to repel it then you should use force however, more casts and you don't need as much fth. But the pendant is better than both, because its effect lingers for a while.

The lingering one ( silver pendant ) is cool, shields whole party if you run with wearer.

I'm pretty sure WoG repels any projectile type sorcery if you time it right. It's hard to do though, especially if there's any lag at all.

I remember a time when I casted crystal soul mass and a person I invaded deflected it using WotG and killed me with my own spell. ^_^..... good times...

Wait does the Dragon Roar repel spells too? I have a dragon build that I love, and I honestly don't think I've ever tried to use it that way.

WoG repels Spells and Arrows. Force repels Arrows. Silver Pendandt repels DARK Magic
