So since wrestling is certainly not scripted: the clearly spontaneous, not at all prearranged story would be that they started off as rivals. Hot Tamale comes into the USA wrasslin' Federation like a tornado. Rising up the ranks he challenges The Dynamo to a title shot. The Dynamo uses his superior reach to land blow after blow on Hot Tamale. The match looks to be short lived, Hot Tamale clearly being overmatched. The ref steps in to make sure Hot Tamale is able to continue the match. Pretending to grab the ref for assistance in getting to his feet, Hot Tamale slams him into the turnbuckle, causing a surprisingly short term fit of unconsciousness. The Dynamo, always being a classy gentleman of the ring, checks on the ref's welfare.
WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN......in comes Alexander "The Rabid Raccoon" Stephens (that one I had to look up). The Dynamo, suspecting nothing, is assaulted by Hot Tamale and the Rabid Raccoon, culminating in several shots with a steel chair. The Rabid Raccoon slips out of the ring as the ref comes to, just in time to do a three count on a helpless Dynamo.
The Dynamo goes on a soul searching mission (i.e. Beating up the undercard guys for a month or so) and earns his shot at the title. After overcoming classic shenanigans like the "hey ref, over there" and the "I didn't do nothin'" from the duo of Hot Tamale and The Rabid Raccoon, The Dynamo lands a hard clothesline on Hot Tamale. Hot Tamale and The Dynamo are both lying motionless. The Rabid Raccoon jumps on on the ring apron but The Dynamo's trust sidekicks Hannibal "The non-Cannibal" Hamlin and Andrew "Slightly above average" Johnson drag him down and prevent him from becoming involved. One Gettysburg Piledriver later and The Dynamo is back for a second term.
Somehow they end up as tag partners.
