    Early souls Empty Early souls

Post by Dark Spirit EliteBiker20 Thu Nov 01, 2012 10:18 am

I recently started a new mage character, and I was hoping to be atleast level 50 before getting to Anor Londo. So far I am level 10 I believe and I am almost at the Bell Gargoyles. I am looking for an easy way of gaining souls without farming for hours. the easiest methods I currently know are:

    1. Letting the Bridge Wyvern kill all enemies on the bridge.

    2. Having the forest people fall off the edge repeatedly.

If someone would be able to tell me a faster method, it would be very much appreciated.

Btw, I want to be level 50 for invasion purposes.

I always farm souls by doing coop, especially on Gaping Dragon or Quelaag....

This. I put my sign by the bonfire of Gaping Dragon while farming humanity from rats. Big thing while doing this is to 'save' the souls as you farm and only level up once you have enough to get to the level you want. The reason being that every time you level up you could potentially be levelling outside the optimal coop zone.

What SL do you nomally co-op for Quelaag or Gaping Dragon. I've never seen anyone place a summon sign for Queelaag, that is unless i'm looking at the wrong places?

I get coop action at Quelaag on PC from SL 30 to SL 50. I always place my sign next to the swamp bonfire.

    Queelag co-op.

Takes almost no time to get to the boss, you can often kill Mildred, then you just kill the boss. It can be done easily in less than 5 minutes and each will net you 20k+ souls. Plus at certain SL's it's pretty active.

The only problem that fight has is Quelaag's AoE, I have seen many a host getting one shot by it, when they don't notice and just keep attacking :/

Queelag is good; just stay back. You should get plenty of Summons. Aim to stay at SL 25-30 and you'll be fine.

I prefer the Gaping Dragon so you can farm rats while you wait to be summoned and you don't need high poison defense.

Well, you don't really need high poison defense at Blighttown as you just let yourself get poisoned, ignore it, then heal once you get to Quelaag. So, if you just have a few humanity or if the host is kind enough to heal you once you get there, you're golden.

If I'm looking for extra souls, I used to farm, but now I just co-op some random boss or go kill side bosses. I love killing side bosses... But, seeing as you're SL 10, I'd recommend co-op haha!

The Gaping is nice if you want to farm for large shards and humanities while you wait, but Queelag's doesn't need much poison defence; just go grab the Pyromancer gear in the level, put that on, and you won't get poisoned at all if you choose the right path. Then before the fight, switch gear.

best method is to farm forest invaders with a summon...I'm not telling him to do it! That is simply the best and fastest method. It does come with a high price though, all of your honor and self respect. silly
