This could be something. My advice get the lordvessel and check out those braziers asap. Pictures would also help, especially if there are lit ones.

I'll get you pictures if there are lit ones--if not, what's the point? But yes, as I said, expect it to be at least a few days. I hate Anor Londo, not to mention I do have schoolwork to keep up with.

I really hope I remember what I saw right. I reallllllly hope I remember it right. If we could get more than one lit, that would be huge. But I just remember thinking, "Why did they only light those ones?"
I have some OCD, and I wanted them all to be lit or at least be lit symmetrically, haha.

So, if they're not lit, do we just credit this to a faulty memory?

I was actually working a theory the other day that sounded like what the OP was thinking: what if you have to choose the exact right class, the right face, the right build, the right gift?

But before today I didn't realize what a role those braziers played in this whole search. Now that I realize what I might have seen might be relevant, well, I'm really excited for this.

I can't say how many times I've lost hope in the pendant.

This would realy be a breaktrough but It doesn't make sense other then you started as a deprived
Only think I can think about now is that you started as a deprived and did join some covenants not all
Maybe that's the reason not all of the brazier are lit you had to do them all

But as Dough said we need some pictures and then jou discoverd the biggest secret in the game

I keep having more and more doubts about this, my main one being: I was only on NG. Why would any braziers be lit? You guys have any thoughts about this?

I really hope I'm not leading myself--and all of you, more importantly--on a lead of false hope.

it makes sense for them to be lit on an NG. You should be able to do this on the first playthrough.

Alright, thanks Dough. I guess if you think about it it makes sense. Let's just hope they're lit this time around, too. Should I do everything on NG+ the exact same way? If so, it may be just a little too late for that regarding certain things.

You did nothing special I could think for this to unlock. We don't know if they stay lit for the next playthrough. I recommend you retrieve the Lordvessel ASAP and check them out. If they are unlit, then I don't think there's something special about them. If they are lit then post a picture, put it in your avatar and request the admins a title of discoverer of the urns lighting or something like that.

I know, Wyrm. I've been thinking the exact same thing, which is another one of my doubts as well. But I suppose we'll see. I just hope we've got something to work with this time around. I'm about to jump into Anor Londo right meow.

EDIT: Who wants to help me gank O&S when it comes to that? XBL: a sad walrus

Anor Londo is easy only need 2 times 5 minutes
first 5 min Anor Londo extirior summon 2 phantoms after the first gargoyle make a the run to second bonfire
thank the phantoms for their work by giving 10 humanities each
    Black chrystal them home
Lite the bonfire talk to Solaire and summon 2 new phantoms and beat up O&S
Run back to the hall use black eye orb
equip hawk rink ring and poison arrows shoot Laurtec and his goons smoke a cig and go to bigboobs and warp to firelink DONE

Call me a noob but it's the snipers with the dragonslayer bows that are getting me right now. I don't even know how I got past them the first time.

EDIT: Never mind. Gave 'em a taste of their own medicine.

If you don't have the ring of fog use the summons to kill them
if you do have the rig of fog snipe them with the poison arrows
So make sure you're not hollow and there will be enough summonsigns
And if you don't have the humanity to thank them use some rocks you have plenty

and if you want to do it alone use the eagle shield

Hmm covering all the covenants in one play through as deprived would be a hilariously simple solution. I doubt this is true, you've been backpedaling from your first post about it, me thinks you remembered it wrong. I hope not though it'd be awesome if this was the solution.

We find out in a day or two, Papa Nito. Made it to Solaire last night before I had to call it quits for sleeping. I don't know how much and when I'll get to play today. And even if there aren't any lit braziers, I'll go on ahead, clear the game, choose the same ending, and see what happens.

Okay, home for the evening, my roommate's playing the box right now, but will probably get off soon. I killed O&S earlier and warped back to Firelink, so as soon as I can put in DS, expect the update that will either make or break this. Try not to get your hopes up, as I hate to disappoint.

    Debating kicking him off... hahah.

EDIT: I'm almost too embarrassed to be posting here. No braziers lit. Noticed for the first time, though, staircases on either side of the braziers going up. Anyone ever tried jumping to the side walkways? I tried, completely nakie, but missed it by hardly anything...

EDIT 2: I DEFINITELY think it's worth noting (if not mentioned before) that the wall just behind the biggest brazier doesn't look just like a wall, but a huge door. Notice the divide halfway between.

EDIT 3: Gah, not having people to talk to about this right now is killing me. Doing more theorizing and stuff and, again, I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, buuuut...
There are ten of those braziers. I was looking at a list of the bosses and I came out with NINE boss souls that you can obtain:
    Quelaag
    Priscilla
    Gwyndolin
    Sif
    Gwyn
    Iron Golem
    Moonlight Butterfly
    Ornstein
    Smough.

Am I missing anyone? Is this a coincidence? If there were 10 that would be too perfect, especially considering the one big brazier and the huge difference in how Gwyn's soul looks in your inventory compared to all the others...

Right well that's a let down. So you never saw the lit braziers?

The souls thing would be another lead but i think its been chased. Almost everything in the game is set up in a similar fashion. The covenants are same.

what if gwyn is undead and in order to see
that you must first kill him and then in NG+ go all the way to him
without resting on a bonfire? like in the abyss and stuff you use the darksign and isnt there a way to get to kiln without resting on the lordvessel? uhmm but when you start NG+ all the other undead respawn so i dont know... but maybe?? 😕

i mean most of the enemies that respawn when you rest are undead right? silly
