Elite Cleric Armor

We have discussed this before, but it hasn't been the primary subject so far. (If so, I blame the search function)

Is not found available to the player in game. It is the set Petrus wears, but no one has found it yet. The Class trailer hasn't been wrong about anything other than this, and Why would From feature an armor set you can't get? The class trailer itself was released shortly before the game, so it wasn't some beta gameplay, but the actual game.

What do you all think happened to this armor set? Is it in game and we just haen't found it? Maybe it appears after some event like the Xanthous armor? It's bugging me no one knows.

Actually that set is called Elite Cleric Armor. Some people gathered the info by extracting files from the disc:

Regarding your question, I created a topic too talking about this and no one knows how to acquire it yet (if it's in the game).

if the stats are correct im hoping someone finds it soon cause i want it. i tried looking for it all over cotacombs or tombs of the giants and nothing, but i havent looked after i killed petrus so i might have a look in my most recent toon.

Isn't that the Way of White set? Pretty sure that is what Petrus wears and that is what it looks like in the video.

its not its different, look at it really careful. anyway after reading this i went to the catacombs and hit every wall i could thini of, nothing. next im gonna try wearing the white seance ring with a +15 dive weapon and hit everything, after that im gonna switch to the darkmoon ring and hit everything again and see if i find anything, im pretty much done with dark souls so this could be something refreshing.

Thats alot of hits your going to be doing Rant, i will join the hunt and try some different things in my free time. Got a toon im about to ng++ so will spend afew days searching the whole world after i kill him.

umm. as a user of the heavy cleric set you buy from patches... the stats look the same and so does the picture... i think whoever pulled that data got the regular cleric armor. not whatever petrus wears, and you know there probably was some way to make petrus go hollow or maybe there used to be a black orb event when he killed rhea like there was supposed to be with shiva but there isn't in the game now, maybe thats what that vaunted dlc is.... adding in the pendent ending and two more black orb events...

Maybe is right. and that same maybe will keep people searching, maybe something has been missed.

when i first started i didnt really care about secrets, i cared about finding my build which i did and its been doing pretty good so far in the FC. but now im interested in that armor and i will try to find it since all my builds are heavy faith build and i feel it is my duty as a faith build to try and find it. where else do you guys think it could be?

I don't think this armor can be found anywhere in the game. It would be really surprisingly if some would get this armor, because everything that is included in the game has been already discovered. There are no more secrets or stuff to find. Exception of the stuff which is already known and already in the Wiki. Only option would be a DLC that includes this stuff in the game.

If you compare the stats that are practically the same. If anything it may just be equipment they were planning to use then decided they didn't like the look and scrapped it but left the coding for it, they do that, and just created the new set and used the old stats.

it has better poise which is reason enough to make me wanna find it, i prolly wont find it but if i do i'd be awesome. i prolly should play bf3, its just collecting dust on my bookshelf.

I imagine the armor set is being displayed as pre-1.04/05 which would account for the slightly higher stats. I'm not trying to dis anyone I'm just stating what I'm seeing and what makes sense to me, and the near identical stats/looks is way to similiar.

In reference to poise, it actually has less. 16 on this set compared to 20 on the heavy cleric armor from what I am seeing. If the number at the top appears to be total poise for Elite then Heavy beats it by double that.

Ok so it's something Petrus wears, I still doubt it's ingame and just something left over.

23 (not 16) is less than 20? did math changed with climate where you live? (sorry, couldn't resist;) as far as the rest, yes... as one who searched this game for this armor everywhere and doing all the crazy stunts like hitting walls and running around with white seance ring... it is probably data remnant that was not included in final game.

Okay, I pulled the page up and seems it is 23, I was misreading poison as poise... I'm still waking up. Regardless statwise they are practically identical but also based on pre 1.4/5 numbers.

Its too bad. I like most of what the Cleric armor offers... except for the chestplate. Both the Cloth and the Metal Clerics both have crappy metal chestplates

To answer anyone in this topic:

1) The armor is not the same as the Heavy Cleric Armor, that's the one Nico and Vincent (Reah's bodyguards) use.

2) The armor EXISTS, even if it's not acquirable by the player, it's the one Petrus uses.

If you need proofs, just equip that armor and stand next to Petrus and see it yourself.

as i said before, im done with dark souls, im only pvp'ing right now and im just doing thihs cause i have nothing else to do.
