Just did this today with a Pharis Bow and Feather Arrows, the hardest boss in Dark Souls just became the easiest.

I must admit, in DeS I abused that Maneater glitch the moment I knew I could do it to skip that cheap boss fight. But, Dark Souls just has many great bosses that you would really prefer not to "cheese" theme.

Cheesy bow method worked better on false king in my experience

Never even knew you could cheese bow him, then again, Allant was a BOSS (more than 1 definition there) fight, who would want to skip his awesome: "Hyooo!", "Rhooo....Hyaaaa!!!", "Hmmm...HRA!!!", "Nya...Nyaa...Nyaaa!"

Okay, okay. So I can't quite write his 3 or 4 hit combo phonetically...

I honestly love the boss fight because of the challenge. It keeps my heart racing because of his constant attacks. The feeling of almost complete helplessness also makes it challenging. Plus, his intro cutscene is awesome.

I might do this though if I want to do a speed-run.

My heart sunk when I saw this, as it's essentially the Maneater Boss Fight Glitch in DS all over again. [insert *heavy sigh* emote here]

I really hope that FROM patch this pretty sharpish, as Manus is supposed to be a God-like Boss, but all the while this Glitch remains it's more of a puppy than baby Sif. :evil:

I certainly won't be using this Glitch, and I'd urge everyone who reads this not to either.

What is it with all the hatred towards the BoC? :suspect:

I happen to like going up against the BoC, not that the Boss ends up doing much fighting (the piddly little maggot ), as (for me) it is by far and a way the most unpredictable fight in the game. I just wish there was some way you could make it a lot harder, perhaps turn it into an arena of sorts, whereby members of the viewing audience made up of Capra's and Taurus Demons jump in to have a go at the player every now and then.

My major issue with Souls games is this. I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe they did not know this was possible. They always have these glitches in their games that seem completely intentional. It really sucks, now people can easily get their 3stacks of pursuers without any challenge what so ever. They just have to have enough spare time to sit and shoot arrows, so lame.

That's a shame...there goes all the great coop action. Such a great boss for coop too. What I loved about all the DLC was the fact that so many of the bosses required help from others unless you had a perfect setup. Now we'll never see summon signs, and if you put down summon signs, nobody will grab them.

might be useful on ng7+ or a sl1 run but for regular game stuff theres no point, the fun part is fighting him, pursuers isn't fun to use, its just a tool that makes things easy, besides pursuers has so many negations its not funny (gmb, Vos, ring of fog, hidden body, even friggin back peddaling works given enough space)

I definitely will not be using this, even is Manus does happen to kick my *** 40 times.

what a cheap tactic! i would never use tricks like this to kill a boss.

it's useful for a sl1 run or low level? NO it's not, if you do a low level run than fight the bosses as you should and not with tricks like this.

I keep wondering with these kind of situations. Didn't the developers see that GAPING hole beneath the fog wall with a "clear" view on Manus? Or did they do it on purpose? For cheesy players? You almost think they have done it on purpose....

Of course it was done on purpose, and I believe that this was done in an attempt to keep the less-dogged amongst us interested in the game for longer, which I view as nothing less than a slap in the gob for those of us who choose to not cheat our way through the game.

No way I'm gonna use this (didn't even check the link). Give me tears, sweat, pain and sweet taste of victory after killing it the way is meant to be killed... I mean what's the point in playing Souls games if you can use glitches and s**t to finish it. Go play Uncharted or something instead.
