Alot Of Healers...

Is it just me Or does people Heal more in Duels? I've noticed that ALOT of people heal now. I hate Healers. All the Rules goes right out of the Window when i see a Humanity or Flask come up in a Fight. (Don't get me Started on Divine Blessings...) It's Probably due to Dark Souls: PTD...

Most people, including myself, probably no longer care since the arena is out now. But if they are healing in set up duels, then that sucks. I also feel bad for those without the DLC because it will provably be slightly harder to find "honorable" fights.

I don't get the DLC (need money For PSN...) before maybe the Week is over so The Burg is my Main, If they Heal i'll hit them with a WoG probably. I hate using WoG (Using Rapier) but that's normaly the only way to Stun them out of it.

I dont like the word honour because it is a fallacy but thats hwo I see it. In the arena you play honourably, outside it the game reverts to how it was supposed to be played. Invasions and fights with the intent to kill.

Perhaps people are healing more because they just want to clear the content.

INvaders bow at me all the time. Ill bow back.... doesnt mean I want a duel.

Notice. I said ''The Burg'' which means they were NOT in the New Content.
My reason to thinking most of Them were new Players was to Low Vitality, Bad tactics and Spam with spells. And am i Allowed to Ask if you were the One down voting me And why? (I also diden't mention ''Honor'' in my text, just that i hate that some people can't take a Loss. You're human. Prepare for a Duel. )

I dunno. I dont duel anymore, its boring with all the community imposed rules....but I dont heal when I fight invaders either unless they are just fishing .

People are still expecting that everything goes by the "Honour Duell code" the community has established ?

Unless you have messaged the Person and said to them that you dont want to BS/Heal/Parry/Attack/etc in a Duell dont expect them to follow your Rules , and when they don't follow your Rules don't judge them snootily , because then you are worse than "them"

It sucks a bit when an invader runs away and takes an humanity, but then, you can do it too
I don't like bs-fishing and WoG, mainly because I don't have the skills to prevent/avoid them, but I'm with Marino
People invade to kill you and you just have to kill them first if you don't want to end up at your last bonfire, end of story

Yeah its the law of the jungle for sure! If I invade or am invaded I always avoid backstabbing and try to have a good intersting scrap, luring my victim in, but thats just my code of conduct, and like Marino said earlier, phantoms are there to kill you however they can, thats the point, so dont expect much chivalry just because you have your own code of conduct.

Started a new character this week on 360 for the DLC, about 25hours in so far and only 1 invasion so far. . .feeling slightly sad about that!

I always live by "if it works, expect to see it."

The OP never said anything about honour or whatever. It's clear to see that he's only annoyed at people healing which I think goes further than the whole "honor" thing we have on here. Kind of an unspoken rule. It's an exchange along the lines of "I wont spam GC/chainstab etc. if you don't pop estus".

All he was asking was if anyone has seen an increase in the current amount of people healing during 1v1 fights.


To the OP: Yeh, i've noticed it as well.

I've been invaded a lot in the DLC new areas, but I didn't notice anything different...
Same WoG spamming/BSs as always I didn't meet many "honorable" invaders very often before, really..

I think there must be a lot of healers out there cuz I was invaded twice yesterday in Oolacile by people who were BS fishin but after every BS they would toss a Lloyd's talisman at me. Until now I've never had a Lloyds tossed in combat. To have two was really strange.

If I'm trying to progress my character I have no patience for invaders and I really don't give a damn about other's "rules". They interrupted me and that's pretty much that. If I recognize them as someone I've co-op'd with, then I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and I'm more likely to trust they will fight 'fair'. BUT, most of the invaders I encounter are lagstab fishers and TWoP/WoG spammers wso I'm rather suspicious of any invader..

I can heal too, so if someone in the Arena does it, then the first chance I get, so do I. If they don't heal, neither will I. But I see the point...for a pure experience, ALL healing should have been disabled. Maybe they will do it in a patch?

I invade so much in the new DLC areas and don't expect anyone to be fair. I'll come in and do my little point forward, point up and then bow. While this is happening they are either usually bowing or running up on me ready to backstab or stun lock me. I don't mind it, like it has been stated with the new pvp arena there will be less "honor" throughout the game.

One thing I do know is that I will never heal and waste a humanity on a invasion. I will just do my best to kill them even though they keep healing. And I usually do....

If they heal up ti just means you give them to much room...

All i was saying is that you should not expect People to have the same mindset or the Knowledge about the "unspoken rules" . Which means that you should not be suprised to see People Heal during Duels .

"Duell" is a pretty vague term anyway, does the OP mean Random Invasions or Sign Duels ?

What Marinony said, don't expect everyone to play how you want them to. You can arrange duels rather easily if you want set rules.
