by So had my new vita for less than 24 hours, went to do a system update so i could link my psn id to it, and the update killed it. Time to go cry in the corner.

Ouch that's crap, have you reported this to Sony? They may offer to replace it since it appears to be their fault, if they deny just hold onto all the paperwork until more reports like this flood in and they get slammed with having to do it.

Doing this right now and talking with jb-hifi(store i got it from) they may replace it as it was faulty off the shelf, just waiting for the manager to get into work(yeah the boss gets to start work late, lazy bugger)

I thought it was cool the way they jacked into the vita via my ps3, then told me to take the game out( the instructions didnt say to take any games out) so any vita users, take the game out before you update.
