Wondering if I have fought any of you randomly...

I always wonder if I have fought anyone from the forum randomly, for future reference my ps3 name is the same as the forum so if anyone remembers me in an encounter pm me, would be cool to know

ahh sorry I am SL 210 mostly forest as a DW, sometimes I jump to the kiln.

I'm also a DW in the forest right now (ps 3), so we're probably constantly fighting the same people, but never one another. I'm thinking of going back to forest hunter, so we might see each other soon. PSN: Eight_Way_Santa.

Any thoughts on the best way of getting away from campers who attack the DW spawning point (the stairs)? One thing that's worked for me has been to reduce my hp, put on the red tear ring, the ring of the first born, and then spam WoG, but that's kind of dull and it ruins my game when I'm not facing 3v1. Any other strategies would be welcome.

Edit: Sorry to be off-topic, but it's nice to share notes with a fellow forest DW.

Here's what I do:

You see that little ledge to the left of the stairs, always when I spawn I drop there which is very narrow and often protects your back and any long range attacks, as soon as I am there the first thing I cast is great magic barrier, then I switch to wrath of the gods and cast it if they get too close, many gangs use the tactic of long range magic while you are occupied attacking one of them and also backstabbing when you are attacking another phantom.

You could go past the cat and then invade, will spawn you by the gate to sif. You can run past the mobs and they leave you alone after you go down the stairs past the cat. But that might be too much running around.

i use fear tactics. cast wog once to do some damage then switch to force and use it to stun/scare them just long enough to bs the closest one. sneak in some real wog once i've got their timings down so i'll actually hit and if someone is still alive hitting them with a good attack or 2 finishes them. and dodge, lots. i'm a dm, but i think the spawn point is the same.

nope, never seen you, don't think I've seen anyone off here when out and about..

would be cool to see you guys....

P.S-I am lagging so bad today it is killing me, literally...

The name looks familiar, check players met, see deathsdragon? I'll check my list later when I get a chance.

Ahh So It was you Handing me my *** today in the forest..lol ..Today was a bad day for me in the forest.. it's been over 3 week since I been there. I cam back today and you sent me packing..lol

I fought a guy in blighttown one night, I think he's from here, cause when I finally found him we went to the arena.

I had the Eastern Armor with the Wonderer Hood. I also had the Grass Crest shield and The Murauko.. lv 135.

Ha! I remember you! well met! I am there right now btw, I am always hesitant with people who use murakumo,
once you get stunlocked with that weapon it's bye bye...

Yea..its a great weapon, but the move set is sooo slow..by the time I get the second swing I'm usually B/S..lol

I will probably log back in at noon while i'm home for lunch..lol Nothing better then getting owned while eating..lol

If anyone hosts in forest or kiln often I've probably invaded you before. Don't recognize any names though... You'll know me by xanthous waistcloth, crown of dusk, and a MSGS with CMW that hits like a train.

I don't think I have found you recently, but I know I have found you in the forest about 2 months ago. I write down in a book everyone I face and their weapons. You used a Lightning Uchi and backstabbed me quite efficiently and caused me great pain as I was on a Sif Run.
