See, whenever I get invaded, 9/10 times, it's some bloody git with armour and weapons from far, FAR later in the game than reasonably obtainable. (Such as a Dark set/sword when I'm SL15) Usually they have themselves fully buffed and enchanted.
As a result, whenever I get invaded, I have to toss all "Nice" rules out of the window because to be frank, I don't want to be one-shotted just because the invader might have deliberately stayed a low level or something while they farmed for stupidly powerful gear.
Now if it was a red summon sign, then yeah I go for duel rules because I actually knowingly went for PvP and am well aware of the opponents gear. Random invasions, not so much. Due to my new habit I've lightning speared folks while they emote a bow. I feel bad for it but to be quite frank I don't want to take the chance of me possibly bowing in return only to get +10 lightning backstabbed while I'm in the animation.
So...I feel quite bad for this, am I in the wrong to only follow "The rules" when using a red sign? Or is it justified to go all out at random invaders just to save my humanity, souls and usually my progress in the already hard region.
