Red Soapstone = Gank?

Almost everytime I use an eye orb to invade I get a nice dual, unless the host is trying to reach the boss. Sometimes they might be camping at my spawn point waiting to gank, but it doesn't happen often.

Does using red soapstone mean "I want to be ganked"?

You just had bad experience I believe. Most time I get summoned by random when trying to duel with friends they (atleast most of the time) bow and want a real duel. But people are douchebags, so you never know what you get. Arena is best for "fair" duels (if you dont like to get ganged, ganked or just dont have time to play hide and seek). Atleast, imo

Where are you using it? I think the only place where you can consistently get a good duel with an rss is the burg and maybe the moonpit.

Yeah, I rarely get ganked in the moonpit. Good place to drop a red soapstone.

The moonpit? I probably missed something but that's behind the blighttown bonfire right? What sl gets the most action down there?

Edit: and yeah, I think you just had some bad experiences, I normally have decent duals using the soapstone.
