Dex/Pyro/Int LvL 120

Hi I'm fairly new to the pvp side of dark souls. I made this build after some thinking. Can anyone rate/give advice on this build?

Currently I believe that this build gives me fastest pyro casting time, gives access to CMW and has enough poise so that I don't collapse if I get hit by a dagger. My ideal combo is a riposte then GCF to the opponents face when they are getting up, is this considered cheap?

Well, you should probably bump your faith up to 9 to use the Oolacile Cat first.

What? On DS wiki it says oolacile only needs 3 str and 12 int. Why 9 faith?

Both have 0 faith requirement, unless its out of date info.

Also I'm keeping it 120 or under to be able to participate in fightclubs etc.

Oh oops, I put in Oolacile Ivory Catalyst from PTDE. I meant the oolacile catalyst that you buy from Dusk in the Darkroot Basin sorry.

Mugen says the Oolacile Cat needs 9 faith to use, Ivory requires none.

Yes so I am going to use the Ivory one, therefore do not need to put any pts in faith.

The one you get from Dusk does not need faith, whichever name it has.

The new oolacile catalyst is so much cooler....Weighs more,needs 9 faith, but can cause poison with its melee.

I'm pretty sure I won't ever use the catalyst as a melee weapon. So ignoring poison dmg, its definitely the worse of the two options.

Also can anyone tell me whether CMW or SLB is the better option at lowest stat requirements and best catalyst/talisman at that level? Eg. CMW with 25 int or SLB with 30 Fth.

I'm still unsure of which option to go for, even though I think I'm leaning towards int.

After doing some research I found that CMW is actually the weakest buff at minimal requirement. If I run with faith instead I can get SLB or DMB for stronger buff albeit with only 1 cast instead of 3. Going faith also opens options for miracles which may be useful in pvp, dropping a few points from vit and end still allows me to stay at Lvl 120 and is partially negated by the RoFaP. Is this a better idea?

build looks good to me so far. the problem int or faith buff is not that easy to answer and depends on your play style/preferences.

basically u should not compare the combination CMW/Oolacile Catalyst and SLB/Canvas Talisman. CMW is often used with the Tin Crystallization Catalyst. At 32 Int this combination does higher damage than SLB. so if you are going for high damage this might be interesting. Int also gives u more and interesting offensive options than Faith in my opinion.

decide for yourself. don't worry about the fact that u'll only have one cast, as u usually don't buff your weapon more than once during a fight or duel ; ) for this build you could maybe sacrifice some dex and go from 45 to 40, as i personally think the increase in casting speed and AR isn't worth the 5 stat points. good luck with your build!

Alright, I made this build to maximize your Spell damage output. It got rid of the Ninja flip, but I personally think its fine. Upped your INT, but I dropped alot of your end and a bit of your vit, since you really dont need that much. The highlight of this build relies on a successful riposte or BS and then throwing a pyro quickly as possible. Thing is with int spells, they are kind of unreliable in pvp as they are usually single target spells which can be easily dodged. I was thinking going down the faith path would unlock some good heal/aoe spells which have more utility in pvp, while int is generally better for pve. But yeah thanks for the help everyone!

Ya I don't know what to think with all these suggestions and info I found. I already have a mage type character with the MLGS and TCC etc. and am aware of what the spells are like. I guess I'll just keep playing around until I find something that I really like a la comfortable playstyle.
