Differing Medium roll speeds? Empty Differing Medium roll speeds?

Post by Desiani Fri Oct 26, 2012 4:10 am

So for the last month or so I have been noticing that my medium rolls have gotten slower...

This is something that I have toyed with and -have not- actually tested mainly because I am lazy and can't figure out how to run recording programs to record then detail stuff... but it seems to me, on the PC version, and quite possibly the console since release of the patch, the medium roll has maybe received a 'variable' speed or something of the like.

To give an example of what I mean. When I am under 25% weight I do the normal fast roll and everything is dandy. When I put on something that -barely- puts me above the 25% I do a medium roll that seems to be faster then the pre-patch medium roll. It seems to me with the toying I did... the -closer- I got to the 50% mark the slower the actual mid roll becomes. To my eye it never as slow as the fat rolling, but there is a significant -feeling- of slowing down the closer you get to 50% without crossing the threshold into fat rolling.

I was just wondering if anyone else has maybe noticed this, and see if there is anyone willing to see if this is true or not. big grin

    Cheers,
    Desi

There should be 4 different speeds for fast roll, and 2 or 3 for medium rolls. The wiki medium roll information may be incorrect.

I've thought the same thing. But just discounted it as a poor perception on my part. But this...maybe it's true. Maybe its not just me. I know being barely a point or two from fat roll i seem to be really slow still. Time to go toy with my equip load. (I dress 90% for aesthetics and what i like to'look' like, so retweeking won't be to hard for me)

Loving everything about dark souls again though. Even the annoying details.

The speed differences are tiny, and you almost have to watch a side-by-side comparison to notice:

i have noticed it. It kind of sucks, cause if i'm going to medium roll i'm going to equip as much as possible. So the faster med roll the closer to 25% you are is kind of useless for me. I wish medium roll was just the speed of the fastest medium roll....Cause it is noticeably faster.

Watching that it seems like a much smaller difference, it really seems like a bigger difference at 26% for me then it does at 49%.
