2 system user

Anyone here that has both X360 & Ps3 and palys Dark Souls on boath of them ?
I think i finally made up my mind to buy a Ps3 just so i can play with the other side (yes, i am that obsessed with the game)

Question for you guys from Europe, do you have much lag while playing with Japanese players ?

I fought only a few guys from Japan / Middle East on X360 & the lag was "ok" for the most part, few teleported all over the screen.

Don't do it. Stay on your 360, because fighting japanese players is hell.
Not only because of lag. You can not talk to them if you want to say something! If you want to tell them that you're trying to host pvp matches, they're like: #*&$§% whatever. It's useless.
But anyways, I setup my PS3 internet connection as good as possible. Got a ping rate of 35ms to the next located server on pingtest.net. But ping rates always depends on the other side. And connection to japanese players are the worst because of the distance. I wish that game had seperated servers, so lags would decrease. You should be lucky with your 360, you mostly meet european and american players.
Is there a way to setup own servers or 3rd party servers for this game? That would interest me.
But as I said, stay on Xbox, unless you have nerves of high-grade steel.

I won't say to go either way, you should make the decision for yourself

ultimately though, pvp, i think the playstation community is larger and devoid of modders (getting the occasional near infinite hp guy running up to you and killing you for xbox) because of the safeguards and such

i run a ps3 myself (don't own an xbox) so i couldn't tell you how that side is, but i hardly ever have any real issues with online play (be it pvp or co-op)

The xbox can be bad at times (people who only go for bs etc) but it has its ups like how for the past few hours, everyone i invaded (im sl 10 invading anor londo) nobody went for backstabs or spam any spells. It was fun.

As i said in one of my previous posts i already own a Ps3 but it's moded & i can't play games on the PSN.
Yes, the Xbox community can be a pain, many go for BS all the time, lots of bad players & the ones that are good are usually the ones that know how BS works (Counter BS, Pivot BS & how to avoid BS in general) & use OP builds like 70 poise, Washing Pole + DMB & ninja flipping.

I am not complaining because i loose often, on the contrary i win most of my fights.
Not saying i wont find ppl like that on the Ps3 but the community is larger (double if i am not mistaken) & there will probably be more versatile competition.

I look at all the youtube PvP movies & most are from the Ps3...rly good PvP action with little BS fishing.

And as for communicating with Japanese guys...i rly don't care, this game is basically designed in a way that no communication is necessary.

I love the gestures in the game. Yesterday told a friend he should host PvP fights in the forests. He summoned me and we were waiting for invaders. The first invader came. I went to him alone. The host stood back. I at the invader and he back. I showed the gesture and he followed me. He didn't attack and I was like: ,,Seems to work,, We were waiting for more invaders and the host was searching for another phantom to summon. And then, the invader started to attacking the host. We were like wtf and finished him. I couldn't tell that guy that we were trying to host pvp matches. Why? Because he was a japanese. Useless to tell him anything. Another one invaded. I went to him alone again, and . I tought he would follow me but I got a backstab from him. We finished him too. Another one invaded. Same procedure and he started attacking. He was american, so I told him we're trying to host pvp matches. No respons. The first guy invaded again. Same procedure. He started attacking me. I died. Got summoned as red phantom by the host. Were waiting for more. The english guy invaded again and I was like:,,Luckily I wrote him a messge. But he started attacking a the host. The day went not that good.
Are we doing something wrong or is the forest full of idiots?
Now I stopped playing this game. Better play Skyrim.

The people I run into are usually smarter. They sit in the audience box and wait for the host to at them. Perhaps they misunderstood the ?
